CES 2024: XGIMI Partners With IMAX, DTS for its Latest Projectors

XGIMI is introducing several new products at CES 2024 with new technologies including ISA 5.0 (Intelligent Screen Adaptation) and Dual Light 2.0, along with partnerships with IMAX & DTS, Google, and MediaTek. The first product that’s a result of this partnership is the IMAX Enhanced certified Horizon Max long-throw smart projector, which will debut at the show.

The projector features XGIMI’s ISA 5.0 (Intelligent Screen Adaptation) technology, which uses hardware and software enhancements and a fully automated motorized gimbal. This makes it simple to find the perfect position for the projector on the wall, and it intelligently remembers settings for specific walls, ideal if you want to move it around and use it in different ways, like on one side of the wall for gaming and another side for watching movies.

It automatically adapts its software and hardware settings to optimize the experience for each activity as well. Integrating 3D ToF in ISA 5.0 enhances Horizon Max’s ability to detect the surrounding space so you can find the optimal projection spot.

The updated Dual Light 2.0 technology, meanwhile, is XGIMI’s new system that consists of a dual-light light source. It integrates a Triple laser for an extended colour range and a phosphor light to enhance any imperfections produced by the Triple laser. The proprietary optical engine is equipped with MCL lasers commonly used in commercial theatres. The result, says XGIMI, is a  cinematic viewing experience boasting ultra-wide colour gamut, ultra-high brightness (3,100 ISO Lumens), ultra-high contrast (2000:1 native contrast ratio) and ultra-high colour accuracy. In fact, XGIMI says it’s the company’s brightest display to date, offering a 35% increase from the Horizon Ultra.

XGIMI will bring its updated Dual Light 2.0 and ISA 5.0 technologies to more of XGIMI’s lineup in 2024, including portable and home projectors.

At CES 2024, XGIMI will also unveil Aladdin, a new product that blends a smart ceiling lamp, high-end projector, and connected speakers, to optimize your living space. Aladdin delivers a cinematic experience of up to 100 inches directly from the ceiling, eliminating concerns like bulkiness, screen blockage, and glare, and leaving floor space completely open. Its strategic positioning prevents direct light exposure and allows for a 0.7:1 projection ratio.

Aladdin is installed just like a standard ceiling light, and features an integrated 360° Harman Kardon smart speaker. It also features immersive dynamic wallpapers, life-sized interactive children’s books, and soothing ambient sounds for bedtime. Selected as a 2024 CES Innovation Award honouree, Aladdin is set to launch in Japan in June 2024: there’s no word yet on North American availability.

Further, XGIMI has announced a strategic partnership with MediaTek, with the entire XGIMI premium product line adopting MediaTek’s chips. Looking ahead to 2024, MediaTek, in collaboration with Google TV and XGIMI, is set to unveil a range of intelligent projection solutions.

XGIMI is showcasing the HORIZON Max, Aladdin, and other exciting innovations in its 2024 product lineup at CES, January 9-12, 2024, in Central Hall – Booth 22515 of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC).
