Among the many products Satechi has introduced at CES 2025 is the SM3 Slim mechanical Bluetooth keyboard with four-device connectivity, backlit keys, and cross-platform compatibility.
As the brand’s first full-size mechanical keyboard, it works with both Mac and Windows systems. It shares similar features to its sister product, the SM1 Slim Mechanical Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard, including a rechargeable battery, low-profile brown switches, four-device connectivity, and 14 different backlight patterns. However, the SM3 also provides a full 108-key layout with a numeric keypad, compared to the SM1’s 75% layout for those seeking a larger, more robust option.
The SM3’s slim, ergonomic design boasts a sleek aluminum enclosure, removable keycaps, and adjustable feet for optimum efficiency and comfort. It has a full numeric keypad that makes it ideal for business and office professionals, programmers, and anyone who requires extensive numerical input.

The keyboard is customizable for any workspace, coming in light and dark colour variants and with an adjustable white backlight that supports 14 different patterns with three brightness levels and four LED speeds. Simultaneously accommodating up to four devices, the SM3 allows you to switch easily between devices with dual Bluetooth 5.0 channels, a 2.4 GHz USB receiver, and a reliable wired connection.
Satechi employs low-profile brown switches with a shorter travel distance that reduces finger fatigue and promotes a more comfortable typing experience. The quieter operation makes it ideal for office environments or shared spaces for frequent office and hybrid workers.
For added customization options, Satechi includes adjustable feet that allow you to tailor the angle of the keyboard for comfort and to reduce strain on the wrists and hands. The adjustable feet also provide added stability to help the keyboard adapt to uneven surfaces and prevent movement while typing. Additionally, stabilizers are included beneath the delete key, the return key, the space bar, and the left shift key to allow for a uniform key press.

In an effort to minimize the need for disposable batteries, Satechi designed the keyboard with a rechargeable 2,500mAh battery and USB-C port that can be used for both charging and wired mode.
The SM3 Slim Mechanical Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard supports multiple operating systems including macOS, iPadOS, iOS, Google Chrome OS, and Windows OS and comes equipped with specific OS keys (O and P) that allow you to quickly and conveniently transition between platforms. For Windows users, the SM3 comes with keys such as “Win, Win, alt, alt” that can replace the Mac “CMD” and “Opt” keys.
Satechi’s SM3 Slim Mechanical Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard is available now for US$120.
