Jackery has some exciting products at its CES 2026 booth in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, including the new Explorer 1500 Ultra portable power station, which it claims to be “the lightest IP65-rated outdoor power station in its class.”
The Jackery Explorer 1500 Ultra is part of the Essential Home Backup line, but it’s light enough to bring with you as well, whether that’s for a road trip, camping trip, in an RV, up to the cottage, or where else your adventure takes you.

Designed for backup supplementary, and emergency power both indoors and out, it employs a thick and rugged structure with a reinforced chassis and metal base. Use it to power everything from refrigerators to home electronics tools, smart security systems, Wi-Fi routers, pet cameras, home office, and more when needed in a pinch, like during a power outage. With IP65 protection, you can use it outdoors, too, while the 20ms UPS ensures dependable power.
Rather than relying on side ventilation, which is a common area for dust and water intrusion, this model employs a re-engineered airflow system with a top-mounted battery and bottom-integrated cooling chamber. By shifting airflow to the bottom, the system enables a self-draining design, allowing water to exit naturally and preventing moisture from becoming trapped inside the unit during wet or muddy use.

To further enhance durability over time, the Explorer 1500 Ultra’s metal base is detachable, providing direct access to the cooling chamber and fan so dust can be cleared during long-term use, solving a common performance degradation issue found in fully sealed airflow designs. All output ports are also protected by sealed socket covers, safeguarding against dust intrusion and water splashes from any direction.
Beyond environmental protection, the Explorer 1500 Ultra is engineered to withstand extreme physical stress. Its Level-9 shock-resistant structure is tested to endure intense vibration, repeated jolts, and unexpected drops commonly encountered during outdoor travel, job-site work, and emergency deployment. The shock- and drop-resistant structural design has been validated through rigorous vibration and impact testing, says Jackery. The high-strength composite display protection uses a PMMA + PC layered screen that is scratch- and impact-resistant and survives three consecutive 1.3-metre steel ball drop tests without damage. Dual-side silicone impact bumpers are designed to absorb shocks and cushion impacts.

Powered by a 1536Wh LFP battery and an 1,800W rated output (3,600W peak), the 1500 Ultra delivers consistent, high-quality power for heavy-draw appliances, power tools, medical equipment, RV systems, and mobile workstations.
You get up to 10 times longer peak power duration than traditional portable power stations, and support for 2,000W loads for 15 minutes and 3,600W surges for five seconds. The refined port layout features dual AC outputs, 100W USB-C PD, USB-A, and a 12V car port.
Its long-life LFP battery chemistry is rated for 4,000 cycles to 70% capacity, delivering over a decade of performance based on average use. Each unit is backed by Jackery’s extended five-year warranty: three years standard plus two years with registration.

The Explorer 1500 Ultra features the latest generation of ChargeShield 2.0 fast-charge technology, enabling: five-hour full AC recharge, 2.5-hour high-efficiency solar charging with up to 800W input, and three-hour full car recharge.
Along with being up to 50% smaller and lighter than comparable models, says Jackery, it comes with a foldable handle for easily carrying it around.
The Jackery Explorer 1500 Ultra will be available starting January 4, with an Early Bird Price of US$899 available through January 24; its regular price is US$1,399.
