Dyson is expanding its home care line with four new products, including three vacuums and a compact air purifier. These include the Dyson V16 Piston Animal cordless vacuum, V16 Piston Animal Submarine wet and dry vacuum, the ultra-slim PencilVac, and the new HushJet Purifier Compact.
Let’s take a look at the highlights and features of each of the new products.
Dyson V16 Animal Cordless Vacuum
The Dyson V16 Animal cordless vacuum features a new dual conical cleaner head that ejects even long hair and automatically adapts to all floor types for detailed cleaning on hard floors, and deep cleaning on carpets. It adjusts suction power and brush bar speed while LED illumination reveals invisible dust. The vacuum features the new Dyson Hyperdymium 900W motor, which generates 315AW of powerful, fade-free suction.
The upgraded Submarine 2.0 wet roller head uses a combination of hydration, agitation and extraction to remove spills from hard floors, with adjustable hydration mode for stubborn stains. The 300mL clean water tank can cover floors up to 1,180 square-feet in size. Hydration control technology delivers targeted and precise water supple when wet cleaning. You can also activate boost for an additional water supply as needed for tougher stains.
The CleanCompaktor bin compresses dust and debris to hold up to 30 days of dust, with a new hygienic wipe-clean bin emptying mechanism so no dust or hair is left in the bin. The interior has also been re-designed so all internal surfaces are wiped clean as you empty the bin, ensuring no dust or hair is left behind.
The Dyson V16 Piston Animal connects to the MyDyson app where you can access additional settings and get real time maintenance alerts, including when and how to clean the filter. It also provides step-by-step guidance on how to care for and get the most out of the vacuum.
You get whole machine HEPA filtration with a fully sealed, five-stage filtration system that captures 99.99% of particles as small as 0.1 microns so only cleaner air is expelled back into the home while ensuring there is no loss of suction. A new remote release cleaner head enables you to quickly and seamlessly switch between cleaning tasks without bending down.
It’s available for $1,100 while the Submarine option is $1,300.
Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact
The HushJet Purifier Compact is designed to offer whole room purification with jet engine inspired high velocity airflow, ultra-quiet operation, and five times longer HEPA filter life. Featuring Dyson’s new HushJet Nozzle, which projects a focused stream of purified air more quietly and efficiently than previous generation models. The nozzle acts like a concentrator on a hairdryer, explains Dyson, increasing the velocity of the airflow, resulting in faster, more powerful purification.
It is engineered to work ultra-quietly and intelligently throughout the day and night. The unique star shaped nozzle reduces turbulence while attenuating the sound waves produced by the high-speed compressor, reducing noise. Operating at just 24dB in night mode, it won’t disturb your sleep.
It works to capture airborne allergens, including pollen, dust, and pet dander. Intelligent sensors monitor air quality in real time, automatically adjusting performance, even while you sleep. The new charged filter media captures 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. It’s more energy efficient, uses less material, and lasts up to five years, an increase of five times the filter life of the previous HEPA filter.
The purifier works in an area up to 203 square-feet in size, measures just 17.2 x 9 x 9 inches in size, and weighs just 7 lbs. It works with the MyDyson app and voice controls. You can create schedules, monitor air quality, receive app notifications, and connect to Alexa or Google. It’s available for $400.
Dyson PencilVac Slim Vacuum Cleaner
Dubbed the “world’s slimmest” vacuum cleaner at just 38mm thin (and weighing only 1.8kg), the Dyson PencilVac has a conical brush bar cleaner head that ejects even long hair. Four conical Fluffycones cleaner head strips and ejects even long hair, preventing hair tangling around the brush bar. The cleaner head glides on a brush bar, each spinning in the opposite direction so cleaning is equally well both forwards and backwards. It can also be moved sideways, and the new format enables it to lay flat on the ground, flattening to just 95mm to clean under low furniture.
The newly developed Dyson Hyperdymium 140k motor is Dyson’s smallest (at 28mm) and also the fastest, providing high suction, along with the forward and rear-facing laser-like illumination.
A new 22mm linear dust separation system captures 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. There’s also a new dust compressing system that uses air to compress dust to maximize the bin capacity, with a new syringe, no-touch bin ejection mechanism for hygienic bin emptying and shroud wiping in one stroke.
As the first connected cordless vacuum, the PencilVac connects to the MyDyson app for additional battery information and filter maintenance guidance. It comes with a swappable battery pack that affords up to 60 minutes of suction per charge, along with a magnetic charging dock with tool storage. It has a screen as well that shows the power mode and remaining run time while cleaning.
The Dyson PencilVac will be available in Canada beginning in 2026 with pricing TBA.
