From Crowdfunding Breakout to Canadian Distribution: The AWOL Vision Story

Evolution Home Corp has announced that it is now the Canadian distributor for AWOL Vision and Valerion, two fast-rising names in premium projection technology. The partnership marks an exciting new chapter for the Canadian home entertainment market, bringing together Evolution’s national distribution strength with a new brand with a fast-growing global following.

AWOL Vision has built its reputation around large-format home cinema, especially ultra-short-throw laser projectors that can create a cinematic screen experience without the complexity of a traditional projector installation. The company’s products are designed for modern living spaces, home theatres, gaming rooms, backyard movie nights, and multipurpose entertainment areas, combining 4K resolution, RGB triple-laser light engines, strong brightness, wide colour performance, and advanced gaming features.

The connection between Evolution and AWOL Vision began at the 2026 Montreal Audio Fest, where Evolution was introduced to the AWOL team through American speaker manufacturer SVS, also distributed by Evolution Home. Since the Montreal Audiofest, Rafay Vasti who oversees Evolution Home Corp’s Dealer Support, built a strong relationship with the AWOL team, putting in the extra effort with late-night meetings to help finalize the distribution partnership. That first meeting quickly developed into a stronger relationship, creating the opportunity to bring AWOL Vision and Valerion products to dealers and customers across Canada.

AWOL Vision’s journey began with a clear idea to make massive, high-quality home cinema more accessible, flexible, and visually striking. In just a few years, the brand has become known for Laser TV and Ultra-Short-Throw projector systems, including models such as the LTV series and the newer Aetherion Series. These projectors are engineered to sit close to the wall while producing screen sizes that can rival dedicated theatre installations, offering a cleaner and more lifestyle-friendly alternative to ceiling-mounted projection.

The Aetherion Series became a major milestone in that story. Launched through crowdsourcing company Kickstarter, the campaign attracted thousands of backers and raised nearly US$18.7 million, making it one of the standout crowdfunding successes in the projection category. The lineup, including Aetherion Pro and Aetherion Max, was positioned around 4K triple-laser ultra-short-throw performance, large image sizes up to 200 inches, strong brightness, low-latency gaming, and AWOL Vision’s Pixel Lock technology, which is designed to preserve sharpness and alignment at large screen sizes.

Design has also played a significant role in the company’s momentum. AWOL Vision’s sister brand, Valerion, brought the Vision Master Pro2 RGB 4K Triple Laser Projector to the MoMA Design Store, where it was presented as a theatre-level projector for home streaming and gaming, capable of 4K UHD performance, RGB triple-laser colour, high brightness, strong HDR performance, and display sizes up to 300 inches. That placement helped reinforce the brand’s position not only as a technology company, but as a design-forward player in the premium home entertainment space.

One of the most talked-about aspects of the brand’s newer products has been their futuristic industrial design. The Aetherion line, has drawn attention for its angular, sculpted form, with styling that some have compared to the bold geometry of the Tesla Cybertruck. That visual identity gives the product family a distinctive shelf presence while supporting the larger AWOL Vision story routed in performance, technology packaged for consumers who care about both picture quality and design.

“For Evolution Home Corp, the new distribution agreement represents more than the addition of another projector line” stated Edit Cantor, Evolution’s National Sales Manager. “It is an opportunity to introduce Canadian dealers, integrators, and consumers to a brand that has already proven demand through crowdfunding, earned attention from the design community, and developed a product portfolio that fits today’s appetite for immersive home entertainment.”

From its early crowdfunding momentum to its arrival in design-led retail spaces and now to national distribution in Canada, AWOL Vision’s path reflects a new direction for home cinema itself. “Big-screen entertainment is no longer limited to dedicated theatre rooms” adds Cantor. “With compact laser projection, flexible installation, and design-conscious products, AWOL Vision and Valerion are helping bring cinematic experiences into everyday spaces.”

AWOL Vision and Valerion are now exclusively available in Canada from Evolution Home Corp.
