GameX Studios Releases GAMR Wireless Play Pad

GameX Studios has announced the release of the GAMR wireless play pad, a next-generation active gaming platform designed to integrate physical movement.

First shown at CES 2026, the GAMR wireless play pad is a Bluetooth-enabled smart device that transforms physical movements into in-game actions. It seamlessly blends interactive games, intelligent sensing, and everyday devices people already own. The goal is to make movement engaging and accessible without making it feel like exercise.

At the core of the GAMR platform is a smart, pressure-sensing play pad that acts as a physical controller for digital games. It understands foot placement, subtle movements, weight shifts, running, jumping, stepping, balancing, and stance. This allows GAMR to translate natural human movement directly into gameplay without learning curves or complex setup.

It wireless connects to TVs, PCs, tablets, and mobile devices and works with hundreds of popular games like Temple Run, Pac-Man, PunchKickDuck, Crossy Road, Jetpack Joyride, and others, across platforms, without the need to make any changes to those games. It’s fully compatible with DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) and Pump It Up-style rhythm games, seamlessly working with platforms like StepMania, ITGmania, Outfox, and Steam-based dance titles.

While you play, it tracks activity intensity, steps, calories, duration, and movement patterns, and supports single-player, multiplayer, and family play. It’s easy to set up without the need for wires or console lock-ins, and expands beyond into balance, reflexes, agility, coordination, and cognitive-motor play.

GAMR comes with the wireless play pad with built-in rechargeable battery (for 10 hours of gameplay), USB-C charging cable, grippy pads for a stable base, carry strap for easy transport, 10 original games designed for jumping, running, balancing, and full-body movements, and works with the free GAMR mobile app, available for both iPhone and Android. The GAMR set retails for US$199, with a limited launch price of US$149. Pre-sales begin on February 17 at the company’s Kickstarter campaign page.
