Hisense Builds on Global Branding as Exclusive Refereeing Partnership Euro Cup 2024

Hisense has been awarded the UEFA EURO Official Screen Provider for Video-Assisted Refereeing (VAR), marking the first time the UEFA has authorized exclusive rights to one of its sponsors.

The Euro Cup is in full swing with 51 games taking place in ten stadiums throughout the next month in Germany, with a potential global audience of over 5 billion streaming and watching the televised summer matches. 2.7 million tickets have been allocated for the live matches meaning all stadiums for the live events will be at full capacity.

Capitalizing on this enormous audience is Hisense, a leading global home appliance and consumer electronics brand currently ranked No. 2 globally for TV shipments from 2022 to Q1 2024.  Hisense is currently making its third appearance as a sponsorship partner at the UEFA European Championship (Euro Cup). Having partnered with every UEFA European Championship since 2016, Hisense has forged a strong connection with Europe’s top football events. Hisense is using the Euro Cup to exhibit its dedication to technological progress while also highlighting the brand’s growing global relevance.

For 2024, Hisense has been awarded the UEFA EURO Official Screen Provider for Video-Assisted Refereeing (VAR), marking the first time the UEFA has authorized exclusive rights to one of its sponsors. As the UEFA EURO 2024 Official Screen Provider for the Video-Assisted Refereeing, refs for all matches in all ten German stadiums, will be using Hisense technology for on-field replay analysis and on-field refereeing decisions, in addition to Hisense screens being used at the tournament’s central VAR Room in Leipzig, Germany, for any final and contested on-field decisions.

Hisense has also partnered with its Global Ambassadors, former Spanish footballer Iker Casillas (Real Madrid and FC Porto) and Manuel Neuer, a German professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper and is captain for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, to celebrate providing fans with the ultimate UEFA EURO 2024 gaming watching experiences and recently launched its BEYOND GLORY campaign, appointing the two renowned goalkeepers as Hisense Global Campaign Ambassadors.
