Hitachi LG Data Storage Debuts Tube T31 USB Stick SSD for Gamers at MWC 2024

At Mobile World Congress this week in Barcelona, Hitachi LG Data Storage, global distributor for SK hynix, revealed the Tube T31, a USB stick-shaped SSD for gamers. The device will initially be available in Japan and Korea, but there are plans to bring it to 10 more countries, including both Canada and the U.S.

The SSD is designed for use with gaming/entertainment consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox. Slim and lightweight, it can also be used with PCs, laptops, and smart TVs. It offers a transfer rate of 10Gbps and sequential read and write speeds of up to 1,000MB/s to meet the demands of serious gamers.

Ideal for those who find they never have enough storage space for all the games they want to download and save, it can be easily installed and used to store gaming albums, and more. With the PlayStation 5, gamers can store PlayStation 4 legacy games on the thumb drive and play them on the newer console.

Along with fast speeds, the Tube T31 also promises “superior thermal management.”
