JBL Adds Three New Models to True Wireless Earbuds Line

The true wireless earbuds market is exploding, and JBL has various options in the space that leverage the company’s expertise in the audio business. Three new models will be added to the line this year, all of which were on display at CES 2022 in Las Vegas in early January: the JBL LIVE Pro 2, JBL Live Free 2, and the JBL Reflect Aero.

All three earbuds feature True Adaptive Noise Cancelling with smart ambient features so you can adjust the amount of background noises you want to let in to stay aware of surroundings or enjoy conversations without having to remove the earbuds. Along with JBL’s Signature Sound, they also offer improved battery life, and six microphones for favourable voice call quality.

JBL LIVE PRO 2

The LIVE Pro 2 in-ear true wireless headphones feature a ‘stick’ design with 11mm dynamic drivers. Use the JBL headphone app for easy access to preferred voice assistants, including Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Since they are IPX5-rated for a waterproof and splashproof design, you can wear them in a variety of situations. The embedded six microphones isolate noise and wind to deliver superior call quality, says JBL. With up to 40 hours of playback time (10 hours per charge plus an additional 30 hours with the included Qi charging case), they will last all week through commutes, workouts, and more. In addition to dual connect + sync and Google Fast Pair, you can fast charge them for 15 minutes to get an extra four hours of use. Available in May in Canada through JBL’s Canadian distributor Erikson Multimedia, they will sell for $249.98.

JBL Live Free 2

The JBL LIVE Free 2 headphones (May; $199.98) are engineered with 10mm dynamic drivers powered by JBL Signature Sound with up to 35 hours of total playback time – seven from the earbuds and an additional 28 using the charging case. The IPX5 splashproof and waterproof rating means you can wear them during a variety of activities indoors and outdoors. They offer all-access touch control or use the JBL app, along with noise- and wind-isolation technology for perfect calls, and hands-free voice control. They also feature Dual Connect + Sync with Google Fast Pair.

JBL Reflect Aero

Finally, there’s the new JBL Reflect Aero (August; $229.98) have 6.8mm dynamic drivers delivering JBL’s Signature Sound and are designed specifically for active individuals to wear at the gym, during yoga, on the trail, or while walking around town. The POWERFINS design provide a secure fit, while an IP68 dustproof and waterproof rating keep them protected during tough workouts. Complete with 24 hours of playback time, hands-free voice controls, customizable touch control through the JBL Headphones app, and True Adaptive Noise Cancelling with smart ambient, these headphones also feature six-mic technology to isolate noise and wind for crisp calls. Get up to 24 hours of playback via eight hours in the earbuds and an additional 16 with the charging case.
