Garmin, the parent company of JL Audio today announced the launch of JL Audio Primacy, a premium home audio system engineered to deliver high-quality sound performance tailored to individual listening spaces. Primacy is available with either full-size T6 three-way tower loudspeakers or compact S3 two-way stand-mount loudspeakers. The system integrates amplifier, signal processing, and loudspeaker components to provide a cohesive audio experience with minimal clutter. The CS centrepiece serves as a networked streamer, preamplifier, and room optimization processor, elevating the sonic standard when paired with the loudspeakers.

Primacy loudspeakers utilize fully active designs with precise DSP-based audio filtering, replacing traditional passive components. Each loudspeaker contains multiple built-in amplifiers, one for each driver section, incorporating advanced switching technology from JL Audio. DSP filtering is applied at the input of each amplifier channel for improved control and damping. The enclosure is a single cast, precision-machined aluminum alloy, providing internal bracing and woofer ports for enhanced resonance control, structural integrity, and acoustic performance.
Primacy Automatic Room Optimization (P.A.R.O.) adjusts audio signals to optimize listening experiences according to user preferences and specific room locations. The system is managed by a high-performance triple-core DSP that operates at 32-bit/192 kHz audio resolution, facilitating accurate control of crossover filters, equalization, dynamics, delay, and phase. Each loudspeaker is equipped with Dante digital network technology, which offers professional-grade audio/video networking for direct digital audio streaming to internal amplifiers.
The Primacy audio system is controlled by a luxury centerpiece stereo system controller that features a source connection component, tabletop remote, and options to stream audio from connected devices. The centerpiece is designed to integrate seamlessly with its surroundings, facilitating prime integration within any environment.
When used with the centerpiece, the system employs P.A.R.O. to ensure optimal tone tuning. P.A.R.O. measures and calibrates the entire system, including powered subwoofers, and automatically adjusts crossovers, levels, equalization, and delay for each driver section to achieve superior sound in any room. The centerpiece connects to the Primacy loudspeakers via Dante networking, maintaining high-resolution digital signal transmission. It also includes a wireless, Wi-Fi-connected tabletop remote featuring a weighted volume knob and touch controls for source selection, profile management, and additional functions. Users can stream audio from various online sources, including Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Roon Ready, Apple Airplay and Google Cast, all supported by the centerpiece.
