Legrand has confirmed that it’s second generation radiant Smart Lighting with Wi-Fi now supports the Matter smart home standard. Each device in the line is Matter-enabled so that devices from different brands can work together across various smart home platforms without the need for complicated plugins or extensions.
Each radiant Smart Lighting with Wi-Fi product comes with a unique Matter QR code for simplified onboarding with a smart home platform of choice, with the use of a Matter-compatible hub. Pair with a Matter-compatible hub, including Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, and Samsung SmartThings, and control devices from a smartphone or voice assistant. Matter-enabled devices can still be controlled without an internet connection if the home’s Wi-Fi network is still accessible.
Mix and match with existing, non-connected, devices from the radiant collection that feature the same look and feel. Create automations that help manage lighting throughout the day when needed or by turning off unused plugged-in devices. Schedule lights to turn on automatically when it’s dark, whether you’re arriving home late, walking through hallways, or creating the appearance that someone’s home.
Legrand’s new Matter-enabled smart devices also support Amazon’s Frustration-Free Setup with Alexa to simplify the device setup experience. When a device that uses Frustration-Free Setup is purchased through Amazon.com and linked to your Alexa account during checkout, it will automatically attempt to connect to your network when powered on. This means device setup with Alexa can be as easy as opening a box and powering on a device.
Available products include the WWMP10 Smart 15A Plug-In with Wi-Fi; WWMRL10WH radiant Smart Switch with Wi-Fi; WWMRR15WH radiant Smart 15A Receptacle with Wi-Fi; WWMRL51WH radiant Smart LED Dimmer with Wi-Fi; and WWMP31 Smart Outdoor Dual Output Plug with Wi-Fi, all of which are Matter-enabled.
