I reviewed the Luna Ring earlier this year after learning about it at CES 2025 in January. At the show, the parent company Noise, which hails from India, was revealing its upcoming Luna Ring 2.0, an upgraded version of the smart ring. That device is now officially on its way, scheduled to arrive in July 2025.
The Luna Ring is a smart ring designed to monitor your health, wellness, and activity. Crafted from durable fighter jet-grade titanium with a PVD coating and inner ring molding, it can track more than 70 health metrics, including sleep stages, heart rate, activity levels, stress, and menstrual health.

The ring leverages Luna AI as well to offer personalized coaching on fitness, nutrition, and recovery. It’s water resistant own to 50 metres with a 5ATM rating and offers a generous up to six days of battery life per charge.
How does the Gen 2 ring compare to the Gen 1? It comes with a new 580mAh charger that can store up to six battery cycles, keeping the ring charges for up to 30 days while you’re on the go. The charger now has a cover, making it easier to pop into your bag or even pocket.

It also adds the new Life OS ecosystem, which the company says affords enhanced performance and a smoother experience. Using Life OS, you can talk or chat with Luna’s built-in AI in over 200 languages, receiving personalized insights based on your biomarkers.
Every morning, you will receive a Daily Digest that provides four key actionable health insights in the app.
The ring is 10% slimmer in design at 8mm in width and 2.9mm in thickness and offers faster processing thanks to new hardware. There’s also a new caffeine window feature that will show you the best times to fuel your body with caffeine without it impacting your sleep. Finally, the new ring comes in an expanded range of sizes up to 14.

There are also new over-the-air features coming that will add capabilities to both the Gen 2 and Gen 1 smart rings. Both are compatible with iPhones with iOS 14 or later and Android devices running Android 6 and later, and can integrate with Apple Health and Google Fit. Neither device requires a subscription to access features.
The Noise Luna Ring Gen 1 is one of my favourite smart rings to date, earning a WiFi HiFi Editor’s Choice award. I’m excited to try the Luna Ring Gen 2 to evaluate its updated design, features, and app. Stay tuned for my review.
