Marantz has introduced the MCR 60n all-in-one compact hi-fi system alongside the Europe-only MCR 60n DAB, which offers CD playback, network streaming, HDMI eARC compatibility, turntable connectivity and premium amplification.
Tuned by the Marantz Sound Master, MCR 60n is compact enough for smaller spaces, like a dedicated listening room, home office, bedroom, or living room. Available in Matte Black and, in Europe, also Champagne Gold, it has a new power supply that delivers greater current capability and increased amplifier headroom compared to older models. This, says Marantz, results in improved dynamics, stronger bass performance, and greater control across a wider range of loudspeakers.
Output power has been increased to 65 watts per channel into 4 ohms, providing a performance improvement over its predecessor. With four channels of amplification, including Bi-Amp, Parallel Bridge-Tied Load (BTL), and dual speaker outputs, the MCR 60n allow you to optimize performance for different loudspeaker systems, or even power two independent listening zones from a single compact amplifier.
The addition of HDMI eARC allows seamless integration with modern televisions, enabling high-quality stereo playback of TV sound while supporting HDMI-CEC volume control and Dolby Digital/Dolby Digital Plus decoding.
For vinyl enthusiasts, a newly integrated MM phono stage allows for connecting a turntable, while the precision-engineered front-loading CD mechanism supports compact disc playback. You can also access high-resolution music streaming, with support for PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD up to 11.2MHz, both powered by the latest HEOS networking platform.
Built around the latest generation of HEOS, MCR 60n offers a faster, more intuitive setup experience together with seamless access to streaming services, internet radio and whole-home multi-room audio. Spotify, TIDAL and Qobuz Connect are also supported, as is AirPlay2 and Roon Ready.
Four customizable Smart Select presets give instant recall to your favourite sources, listening modes, and volume settings with a single press of a button on the remote.
Bluetooth functionality has also been expanded, supporting both receive and transmit modes, meaning you can send music via Bluetooth from your phone but also use your wireless headphones to listen to music or TV content late at night.
Advanced system optimization features include a configurable subwoofer output with adjustable crossover settings that allows precise low-frequency integration. Dirac Live Room Correction is available as an optional upgrade for stereo playback, enabling you to calibrate the system to virtually any listening environment for improved imaging, tighter bass, and greater tonal accuracy.
Variable audio outputs also allow MCR 60n to function as a premium streaming preamplifier, making it equally suitable for driving active loudspeakers or integrating with existing Marantz components and vintage hi-fi systems. An Ethernet network port, USB input, optical digital input, and DAB tuner (not applicable outside European markets) round out the specifications.
The Marantz MCR 60n will be available in Canada starting September 15, 2026 for $1,350.
