Montreal-based speaker manufacturer Totem Acoustic has announced the appointment of Melanie Nassif to the position of Director Sales & Marketing, for the province of Quebec.
Nassif, a well-known name throughout the Quebec audio industry, has spent the last 22-years at Centre Hi-fi where she was most recently Brand Product Manager for the audio/video chain.
At Centre Hi-Fi, Nassif was responsible for many components of the Quebec retail business including inventory management, staff training as well as publicity and promotion. Her relationship with Totem started four years ago when Centre Hi-Fi started selling Totem Acoustic. “It was love at first sight!” said Nassif about working with Totem. “I was immediately taken by the energy and style Totem brought to speaker manufacturing. Totem has always struck me as being fresh and new.”
After more than two decades at Centre Hi-Fi, Nassif was looking for a new business adventure and rekindled with Lucy Lentini, Totem’s Global Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “Melanie has an incredible youthful energy” says Lentini who has targeted Nassif to be primarily responsible for Totem’s sister brand KIN. “KIN is our brand that targets a younger audio enthusiast looking for a sophisticated sound with a stylish design that fits an active plug and play lifestyle” explains Lentini who adds, “Melanie has that perfect blend of energy and vision and can play a vital role in reviving the way we sell audio.”
