Middle Atlantic Will Show New Racks at CEDIA Expo 2023

Middle Atlantic will be showcasing a new line of products at CEDIA Expo 2023, which is set to take place from September 7-9 in Denver. The products will be on display in the Legrand | AV booth 1506.

On display will be the Premium+ PDU family, now featuring the new RackLink Cloud for remote management and monitoring. Middle Atlantic will also highlight solutions from the NEXSYS AV power distribution and backup platform.

In addition, Middle Atlantic will offer training sessions on power and best practices for rack building and enclosures, topics that will address today’s trends in residential and light commercial applications.

“No matter if it’s in a home or commercial project, the strongest AV system is built on a solid foundation,” says Patrick Kittredge, CTS, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Middle Atlantic Products at Legrand | AV. “Our latest power solutions carry forward the reliability, protection, and control we’ve invested in for over two decades. At CEDIA, integrators will be empowered with the level of insight and confidence our new Premium+ PDU RackLink Cloud and NEXSYS solutions bring to every project.”

Middle Atlantic’s Premium+ PDUs feature the full potential of RackLink Cloud. In addition to the new cloud capability, RackLink continues to offer flexibility that allows integrators control through the native RackLink UI, third-party AV control systems such as Crestron, partner platforms, RESTful API, and SNMP. The firmware update will also make the system compatible with Crestron XiO Cloud with native support of RackLink’s intelligent system control, logging and data management, environmental control, and protection features.

Middle Atlantic’s Premium+ PDUs are available in horizontal rackmount and compact models, providing under/over voltage, filtering, and surge protection with patented Series Protection. They also provide accurate power monitoring and logging for current, voltage, watts, and power factor at the outlet level.

This deep system insight enables integrators to understand exactly what any AV system is doing at any moment. Helping to curb the problems that heat and humidity in the rack can create, the PDUs feature enhanced environmental monitoring capabilities with up to 32 individual sensors that can connect to a single unit to keep tabs on temperature and humidity. Finally, they enable integrators to solve simple problems through comprehensive, flexible control options for proactive system management and restoration if equipment issues occur, including IP, RESTful API, SNMP v3/MIB, CLI, RS-232, and dry contact.

The Middle Atlantic Products NEXSYS platform unites PDUs and UPSs with a common design, both internal and external, for a consistent aesthetic. Premium components ensure optimal power delivery and protection for sensitive AV equipment.

Every NEXSYS PDU solution comes with 15-amp and 20-amp options, ensuring that every installation has the amperage for the equipment with surge and selectable voltage protection standard on all models. Customers can also choose either the patented Series Protection or enhanced multi-stage MOV surge protection.

The NEXSYS ENERGY STAR certified UPS adds an LCD panel that shows status and critical data, like battery life remaining; RackLink compatibility for remote monitoring and control; optional temperature and humidity sensor for the best in proactive AV system health; status and remote ports; and outlet control on all models with two four-bank outlet control or individual outlet control with eight outlets. It also includes features to make installation and cable management a breeze: ultra-slim design with a pre-installed four-post mounting kit, with integrated rack ears for rack mounting as well as an IEC inlet to support any power cable length requirement.

Middle Atlantic Products will also take part in Legrand | AV’s extensive lineup of manufacturers’ training during the show. Based on courses from the company’s award-winning AV University, Middle Atlantic will host: “Robust Power Solutions for a Killer AV System,” from 4-5 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, and “A Systems Approach to Rack Building and AV Enclosures,” 9-10 a.m. on Friday, September 8. Both sessions will take place in room 110/112. To register, visit cediaexpo.com/attend/mpt.
