Motorola has introduced the new moto g stylus 2025, the latest generation of the device that features an improved built-in stylus, durable design, more vivid display, and advanced camera technology.
The enhanced built-in stylus writes naturally and responds instantly while you’re performing tasks like jotting down notes, sketching ideas, navigating apps, and more. It affords 6.4 times improved responsiveness compared to the previous generation for smoother and more intuitive interactions.
You can use the built-in stylus for creative experiences like Sketch to Image and Google’s Circle to Search. Sketch to Image uses AI to bring your drawings to life within Moto Note, Motorola’s note-taking app. Circle to Search, available on most of the latest Android devices, allows you to instantly get more information about what’s on the screen without having to switch apps by circling, highlighting, or tapping text or images with the stylus pen, or your finger.
Finished in curated colours from Pantone, including Gibraltar Sea and Surf the Web along with a premium leather inspired finish, it meets IP68 certification for water and dust resistance as well as MIL-STD-810H certification.

The phone is equipped with a 6.7-inch Super HD (1,220p) pOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits brightness. The display is complemented by stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos.
For snapping photos, it comes with a 50MP camera system, and is the first moto g stylus series to feature a Sony LYTIA 700C sensor, which works alongside Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). moto ai uses the Photo Enhancement Engine to automatically analyze multiple frames, blend exposures, and preserve rich colours and subtle details, regardless of the lighting. For those who would rather do their own editing, the built-in stylus can be used for fine-tuning images with Google Photos AI features.
There’s also a 13MP ultrawide lens with a macro lens so you can fit more within the shot or get closer to the subject. For selfies, use the 32MP front camera.
The phone can run all day and then some with a rated 40 hours of battery life per charge of its 5,000 mAh battery. You can also be back up and running quickly since the moto g stylus 2025 supports 68W TurboPower charging (with an optional adapter that’s sold separately), giving you enough of a boost for a full extra day in just 15 minutes. There’s also the option to charge the phone wirelessly at a rate of 15W.
Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 mobile platform chipset and 8GB of RAM, the new moto g stylus is designed to support creativity and productivity. The device offers up to 256GB of storage and uses RAM Boost to help you open apps faster and keep more apps running simultaneously.
The new moto g stylus launches with Android 15, which includes updates like new security warnings, streamlined setup screens, and more. Beyond the core Android updates, the device also features advanced security software like Moto Secure and ThinkShield, plus connectivity and personalization features such as Hello UX and audio sharing.
In the U.S., the moto g stylus 2025 will be available through select online retailers starting April 17, then available at additional retailers in the coming months for an MSRP of US$400. In Canada, it will be available at motorola.ca and select carriers and national retailers on May 13, with pricing TBA.
