Motorola is continuing with its trend of launching phones under the same names with new years with the new moto g power 5G – 2024 and moto g 5G – 2024, step up models from, of course, the 2023 editions.
The phones feature long-lasting batteries with f30W charging, enhanced camera capabilities, and 5G connectivity.
The moto g 5G has a 6.6” 120Hz adaptive, notch-less display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor. RAM Boost offers up to 4GB of extra RAM while the phone comes with 128GB of built-in storage. It supports Dolby Atmos immersive sound, 50MP camera system with Quad Pixel technology, Macro Vision camera for close-ups, and 8MP front camera for selfies. Equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, you’ll get a full day of battery life per charge. With 18W TurboPower charging, you can get a few extra hours in minutes.
With a larger 6.7” FHD+ notchless display, the moto g power 5G has stereo speakers and supports Dolby Atmos, and 120Hz refresh rate that adjusts automatically based on the type of content on the screen to help save battery life. It, too, comes with a 5,000mAh battery for all-day use and supports 30W TurboPower charging and 15W wireless charging.
The moto g power 5G has a 50MP camera system with OIS and Quad Pixel technology, 8MP ultrawide and macro vision lens with autofocus, and a 16MP front camera.
All these features are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 processor. The phone also comes with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage and 8GB RAM, expandable up to 16GB with RAM boost.
Both the moto g power 5G and moto g 5G have a vegan leather back that’s soft to the touch and fingerprint-resistant and a water-repellent design that keeps devices protected from everyday spills and splashes. The moto go power 5G comes in Midnight Blue and Pale Lilac and the moto g 5G in Sage Green. Both run on Android 14 and include unique Motorola software gestures and additional experiences, like Moto Secure 2.0, Moto Unplugged, and Family Space. You also get NFC for tapping to pay for items, share contacts, and more.
The moto g power 5G – 2024 will be available at Cricket in the U.S. starting March 22, with subsequent availability at T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, AT&T, UScellular and Verizon, and on Straight Talk, Total by Verizon, Walmart Family Mobile, and Visible. It will also be unlocked through retailers starting March 29 for an MSRP of US$300. In Canada, the new moto g power 5G – 2024 will be available on motorola.ca starting April 12 and at select carriers in the coming months.
Coming to the U.S. on March 21, the moto g 5G 2024 will be available at T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile with subsequent availability at Cricket, AT&T, Boost Infinite, Boost Mobile, Verizon, Xfinity Mobile, UScellular, Consumer Cellular, Google Fi Wireless, Optimum Mobile, and Cox Mobile, and on Straight Talk, Total by Verizon, Simple Mobile, Tracfone, Walmart Family Mobile, and Visible. Retail availability will start May 2 for MSRP US$200. In Canada, the moto g 5G – 2024 will be available on motorola.ca starting May 2, and at select carriers in the coming months.
