NUIO Debuts Line of Ergonomic Computer Peripherals

NUIO, a California-based company co-founded ty Tom Wilson, a former product design executive at Apple and Greg Wilson, a former digital marketing leader for Digitas, has launched a new line of keyboards and other peripherals.

With an equal focus on both design and functionality, the NUIO products are led by the Flow Keyboard, and the line starts at US$399.

“There are literally no right angles in the human body,” says Tom Wilson, who serves as NUIO’s CEO. “Yet we spend most of our lives hunched over rigid, rectangular keyboards and peripherals—often enduring hours of wrist pain, tech fatigue, and poor posture.”

“Our industry moves at the speed of Moore’s Law, yet peripheral design hasn’t changed in decades,” adds Greg Wilson, NUIO’s CMO. “The 140-year-old QWERTY keyboard felt like some vestige from a bygone era, not a modern, ergonomic tool designed with creative professionals in mind.”

Designed around the natural curves of the human body, NUIO products include a wireless split keyboard and trackpad system designed to change how users interact with their digital environments. Features include integrated LED backlit keys, high-resolution tracking and multi-touch gestures in the wireless trackpad, a flexible keyboard that tilts and tents, magnetic wrist pads, and multiple sizes of desk pads.

“Our goal with every product we design is to remove the barrier between the user and their computer,” says Greg Wilson, “so you can get into a productive flow-state faster, expressing your ideas without distraction. For us, ‘Finding your Flow’ isn’t just a tagline. It’s our design brief.”

All the products work seamlessly together via wireless Bluetooth and are designed to be easy to transport. The products are also made to aesthetically complement Apple products.

NUIO peripherals are now available starting at US$399.
