Typically, open-ear headphones use bone conduction technology, which converts sound waves into vibrations that are transmitted to your ears through your bone structure, transmitting the audio to your ears without actually covering your eardrums. Oladance, however, uses its own technology called OWS, which are found in the new OWS Sports headphones.
Open Wearable Stereo (OWS) technology uses something called air conduction to transmit sound to your ears, which Oladance says offers a more “3D sound effect” and purports to be more comfortable to wear than traditional bone conduction headphones. They rest securely on the ear versus inside the ear canal with a strap that goes around the back of your head.
There are two new models in the line, the OWS 2 and OWS Pro, both of which employ fully open designs, making them ideal for fitness activities. They are IPX8 waterproof rated, offer wind noise reduction, and a 15-hour battery life per charge, able to fully recharge in two hours.
For audio, they include a Qualcomm aptX chip and an amplifier chip to boost sound energy and volume. There’s also a patented Virtual Bass 2.0 algorithm to enhance low-frequency sound for fuller and deeper bass, and anti-sound leakage system for a private listening.

OWS Sports earphones are made of smooth, soft liquid silicone rubber (LSR) that provide a comfortable open-wearing experience. There’s no pressure to the face nor ears, and you won’t feel any unwanted vibrations. The ergonomically engineered soft titanium wire neck strap keeps the earphones securely in place.
