Plugable has introduced its new USB-C Multiport Adapter, the USBC-MD103, an updated version of the USBC-MD101, which allows for easily connecting an external monitor, USB device, and your USB-C power adapter to a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 system so you can turn your laptop or tablet into a productive workspace.
“While Plugable is synonymous with creating productivity-based solutions, we are always focused on bringing universal compatibility to our customers,” says Plugable Founder Bernie Thompson. “The USBC-MD103 delivers compatibility and cost benefits over other similar products already on the market. It’s a must-have for laptops with just one or two USB-C ports.”
The port features USB-C charging with pass-through charging up to 60W; an HDMI 1.4 port that supports up to 4K 30Hz resolutions; and USB 3.0 that supports up to 5Gbps transfer rate. It is backwards compatible with USB 2.0.
The adapter is ideal for small home office desks or thinner laptops with minimal connections, allowing you to save space while still enjoying the full computing experience.
The adapter is smaller than the palm of your hand and compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, Samsung DeX, and iPad Pro. It is best suited for those who have minimal USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 ports on their laptop who are looking to add a single monitor, keyboard, mouse or thumb drive and charge your laptop at the same time.
The USBC-MD103 Multiport Adapter is available today for US$24.95.
