Samsung Shows New 98-inch Neo QLED 8K TV and More at CEDIA Expo 2023

Samsung is at CEDIA Expo 2023, taking place right now in Denver, CO, to showcase a number of new video and audio products, including its new 98-inch class Samsung Neo QLED 8K TV (QN990C). The company is also presenting its new Dealer Service Portal, designed to better support integrators and custom installation professionals.

Exhibiting at booth #1912, Samsung is showing this massive screen along with its line of OLED TVs and Lifestyle screens like the new outdoor 85-inch The Terrace TV as well as the stunning The Frame TV. Samsung’s booth also includes The Wall All-in-One LED displays in sizes up to 146 inches, gaming screens like the new 49-inch Samsung Odyssey OLED G9, and the Samsung ViewFinity 5K monitor.

There’s no doubt, however, that the QN990C is the showstopper. As the largest Samsung 8K TV to date, it includes a Neural Quantum Processor that uses AI-based formulas to upscale content to 8K quality. Designed with Quantum Mini LEDs,it can deliver more than a billion colours and impressive contrast, bringing more details to life on screen.

The Samsung 8K AI depth enhancer enables the TV to precisely boost lighting around the objects that viewers’ eyes gravitate toward, while dimming lighting elsewhere. This, says Samsung, provides better visuals and improved power consumption from the screen.

The 98” Class 8K TV is also built with Dolby Atmos and Cinema Object Tracking Sound, so every sound comes through clear and balanced, no matter the space.

The display features a 360-degree All-Metal Design, slim profile, and Slim Fit Wall Mount, allowing the TV to fully blend into its surroundings. The Anti-Glare screen and Ultra Viewing Angle technology means you won’t need to draw the shades or turn off the lights to see the picture clearly.

Samsung The Terrace

Another new product on display is the 85-inch Terrace Full Sun Neo QLED 4K TV, which is, as the name implies, designed for outdoor environments. It can be permanently installed outdoors and marks the largest model in the Terrace line. The screen stays bright even on sunny days thanks to Direct Sun Protection. It can be on for up to six hours in sunlight at 700 watts and 104 degrees Fahrenheit.

The display also includes new features like enhanced water and dust resistance (IP56) for improved durability, and ships with the rechargeable Samsung SolarCell Remote, which uses a solar panel for convenient charging. The TV also newly supports Samsung Gaming Hub, giving gamers fast and easy access to their favourite titles from a portfolio of over 3,000 games – no console required. (Cloud streaming, however, does require separate subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, NVIDIA GeForce Now, or other applicable cloud streaming subscription.)

Samsung The Wall

For commercial spaces, the Samsung The Wall All-in-One 146” IAB transforms a luxury space into an immersive experience. Eco-friendly packing includes a control box and brackets in one, to accelerate install time to just over two hours. The Wall IAB series is available in two sizes, 110” and 146”, and delivers up to 4K resolution. The Wall All-in-One 146” IAB transforms your luxury space into an immersive experience.

This year, Samsung will add the LED All-in-One IAC 130” as the newest addition to the lineup designed for home entertainment rooms including gaming, gym, art, and more. It’s a 2K screen with a 1.5 mm pixel pitch delivering the same features as the All-One-One Series turning any content into HDR-level quality.

New for 2023 is the Samsung Dealer Service Portal which enables Samsung authorized dealers to initiate, track, and finalize any service issue in real time, 24/7. The program demonstrates the commitment Samsung makes to its trusted partners to provide support for any service challenges they may face.

Additionally, installers can join Samsung at CEDIA Expo to learn about its Samsung Direct Dealer Platinum Program. It offers benefits like improved dealer margins, comprehensive regional distribution support, and provides Samsung partners with simplified access to consumer and commercial products under one umbrella—making it easier for integrators to spec jobs based on client needs. Continuing this year, Samsung is offering a charitable matching program through which Samsung will match a portion of a custom installer’s volume incentive rebate as a donation to one of three organizations – the Robert Preston Tisch Brain Tumor Center, Foundation Fighting Blindness, or Autism Speaks.
