Samsung Galaxy A71, A51 Newest Additions to Smartphone Family

By Christine Persaud

Samsung Canada has introduced two new smartphones, the latest addition to its Galaxy family: the A71 and the A51. Both devices boast a long-lasting battery, quad camera design, and Infinity-O display.

“We are excited to expand our Galaxy A portfolio with the Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51,” says Jennifer Safruk, Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung Electronics Canada. “The Galaxy A Series continues to deliver on performance at a great value that Canadians love.”

The Galaxy A71 has a 6.7″ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display and the A51 a 6.5″, both providing vivid colour and high resolution with minimal bezels that maximize screen space. They include a dedicated gaming interface, including Frame Booster that provides smooth, lifelike motion in graphics. Game Booster, meanwhile, learns your usage patterns to optimize battery, temperature, and memory.

With four cameras, including a main camera, Ultra Wide, Macro, and Depth cameras, the A71 and A51 let you shoot with more perspective, and include intelligent features as well.

The main camera photographs images with a 64MP camera on the Galaxy A71, and a 48MP camera on the Galaxy A51. The Ultra Wide 12MP camera, available on both devices, has a 123-degree angle lens. If the shot requires it, the intelligent switch function will recommend Wide Shot and automatically switch it on for you.

The 5MP Macro Cam brings objects into focus to capture tiny detail, while the Depth Cam lets your subjects stand out using Live Focus effects. For daytime, use the 32MP (A71) or 32MP (A51) front camera to get clear, high-resolution photos. The discreet camera gives you a simple on-screen experience, with Selfie Focus gently blurring the background so your face becomes the focal point.

Additionally, you can shoot and share high-quality live videos with Super Steady Video in both phones, which automatically stabilizes footage for you, creating a smooth and professional video. With 128GB of internal storage and 6GB RAM, along with Micro SD support up to 512GB, the A71 will enable you to capture and save videos and photos without worrying about running out of storage space. The Galaxy A51 has an advanced Octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM to deliver smooth and efficient performance and 64GB internal storage.

The phones come with large 4,500 mAh and 4,000 mAh batteries, respectively, and include fast charging capabilities. They also provide access to the Samsung ecosystem of intelligent apps and services including Bixby (Vision, Lens Mode, and Routines), Samsung Pay, and Samsung Health. Both devices are also protected with the defence-grade security platform, Samsung Knox.

The Samsung Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51 each feature a sleek body for a comfortable grip and a premium glossy finish.  Both devices are available in Prism Crush Black at samsung.com/ca and online through major Canadian carriers and retail partners. The Galaxy A71 is available to purchase for $600 and the Galaxy A51 is available for $480.
