Sennheiser Debuts Accentum True Wireless Earbuds

Sennheiser has introduced its latest in the Accentum line, the Accentum True Wireless that boast a new ergonomic design and signature sound.

The Accentum True Wireless have proprietary 7mm dynamic True Response Transducers that reproduce “powerful and engaging bass, natural mids, and crisp treble–handling,” says Sennheiser.  The ultra-low distortion drivers are made at the Sennheiser Tullamore factory, under the same roof as those found in other Accentum, Momentum, and audiophile headphones.

Developed in collaboration with hearing aid manufacturer Sonova, these earbuds come with four sizes of ear tips to ensure a great seal for impactful low-frequency response and effective hybrid noise cancellation.

“It’s no secret that fit is essential to great sound and comfort.” says Friederike Menking, Sennheiser Product Manager, “We crafted Accentum True Wireless after poring over one thousand distinct ear profiles, arriving at a design that is meticulously crafted yet feels like it is barely there.”

When combined with the discreet beamforming mic array, the ANC reduces droning low-frequency distractions like airplane cabin noise, humming appliances, nearby traffic, and bustling coffee shops. Listen to ambient surroundings on-demand via tap gestures or the free Sennheiser Smart Control app.

With the app, select the amount of transparency while further tailoring sound using the five-band equalizer. Sound Check is a guided preset creator you can upload to the cloud to access on all your iOS or Android devices. There are also user-definable touch controls for managing media, phone calls, and voice assistants.

The Accentum True Wireless connects to your mobile device via Bluetooth 5.3, and the earbuds are Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast capable for sharing audio streams at Auracast-enabled museums, cafes, airports, and more in the near future. In addition to SBC and AAC codec support, the earbuds also use aptX and LC3 for maintaining audio quality. They offer a battery life of up to eight hours per charge and 28 hours total with the case. They support both USB-C wired charging and Qi wireless charging available in the compact case. It also supports quick charging over USB, giving you up to an extra hour after just 10 minutes. A USB-A to type C cable is included.

The Sennheiser Accentum True Wireless earbuds are available for pre-order starting today and will officially launch on May 21. The earbuds come in black or white for US$200.
