Sherpa Group Looks back on CEDIA Summits 2025

Last week’s CEDIA Tech + Business Summits brought together integrators, manufacturers, and industry professionals for two days of networking, sharing and learning. From product showcases to conversations about the present, and future of home technology integration, to packed rooms for product training, these events highlighted the strength and vibrancy of Canada’s custom installation community. The Montreal event represented the first time CEDIA has hosted an event in Quebec and included the first-ever visit to Canada by a CEDIA CEO, Daryl Friedman, who promised to include more visits to the Great White North in the future.

Team Sherpa participated in both Montreal and Mississauga CEDIA Tech + Summits

“We are extremely pleased with the turnout of both CEDIA Tech + Business Summits”, said Robert Schnaar, Director of Brand Development at Sherpa Technology Group “The inaugural Quebec event surpassed our expectations, and the event in Mississauga was once again well-attended, providing dealers with valuable face-to-face time with our exhibiting brands. We are already anticipating even more successful Tech Summits in 2026.”

The CEDIA Tech + Business Summits continue to serve as invaluable opportunities for direct connection between brands and integrators, helping to strengthen relationships and drive progress across the AV and smart home sectors. Dozens of busy vendors exhibited their solutions from all categories including home audio, home video, networking, cabling, and more, and shared their thoughts on the events:

“Our partners and integrators are always eager to learn about the CI features that set our products apart” observed Stéphane Mentor, Director of Sales DAC, Lifestyle Division, Harman – on behalf of brands such as Bowers & Wilkins, Definitive Technology, Denon, Marantz, and Polk Audio. “Those that make their work easier and deliver real value to end users. We were thrilled to see more than 200 integrators take part in our free training sessions in Montreal and Toronto, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s events.”

“Both shows were very busy for us, and the interest level in AWALL was great” said Larry White, Sales Representative, AWALL. “We are looking forward to participating in both Montreal and Toronto again next year.”

“The TOA Canada team looks forward to CEDIA events every year” exclaimed Christopher Bell, Digital Marketing, TOA. “We’re always excited to talk all things commercial AV with industry professionals and reconnect with valued partners we’ve worked with in the past, whilst supporting our distributors like Sherpa. Sherpa Technology Group would also like to thank CEDIA for hosting these successful events, and to recognize the many partners and vendors who helped make these summits a “can’t-miss” opportunity for growth.

With the Canadian CEDIA Tech Summit calendar for 2025 wrapped up, Sherpa Technology Group looks forward to continuing conversations with integrators, vendors, and partners throughout the remainder of the year, including initial conversations for the 2026 Tech Summits.
