Sonance Buys Blaze Audio

Sonance, the originator of the in-wall speaker and a pioneer in discrete architectural audio, today announced the acquisition of Blaze Audio, a high-performance audio company based in Copenhagen, Denmark and focused on amplification and loudspeakers. Blaze will now be referred to as Blaze by Sonance.

This strategic acquisition preserves the Blaze Audio brand along with existing sales and marketing operations and expands on Sonance’s long-term directive to delivering complete audio solutions and enhancing its presence in the global professional audio sector.

The acquisition centers on Blaze Audio’s PowerZone Connect and Dante enabled amplifier series and Blaze’s DPS software platform, PowerZone Control. “These technologies are scalable to the Sonance product line and will aid in Sonance growing in key professional markets such as hospitality, retail and corporate environments” added Mike Sonntag, Chief Revenue Officer, Sonance Professional.

Sonance and Blaze Audio will jointly exhibit their integrated audio solutions at InfoComm in Orlando ,Florida from June 11 to 13th. Blaze Audio is currently distributed in Canada by Sherpa while Sonance has a direct to consumer model.
