Sonos has launched Sonos Radio HD in Canada, affording Canadians access to a new ad-free, high-definition streaming tier that includes skips, repeats, and an expanded catalogue of exclusive programming.
The premium Sonos Radio HD service is available through the Sonos S2 app for $7.99/mo., and customers can try it out first for 30 days.
Sonos Radio HD includes artist-curated stations, including Brian Eno’s The Lighthouse, which features hundreds of tracks spanning the artist’s more than 50-year career. Listeners are encouraged to reach out at [email protected] with inquiries like using a song in a movie, inquiring about contributions, or simply to express comments. Other artist-curated stations include Dolly Parton’s Songteller Radio, Ghostface Killah’s Blue & Cream, and FKA twigs’ Main Squeeze.
Additionally, curators and hosts like Ann Powers provide a deeper explorations into genres and music with shows like Nashville Now and American Ramble, as well as Kenny Gamble’s The Sound of Philadelphia.
There are also soundtracks for life at home that promote mindfulness, productivity, and relaxation, such as The Inner Now, Chill Beats, and Mellow Morning. Six sleep stations will help you get some ZZZs with everything from white, pink, and brown noise like rain, rainforest, and piano, all of which are master tuned specifically for Sonos speakers to provide “the most natural, calming sounds.”
