WiFi HiFi Holiday Gift Guide 2024: Gifts for Teens and Tweens

Updated on November 27, 2024

Teens and tweens are oddly both the most difficult and the simplest people for whom to buy gifts. You can’t go wrong with cash or gift cards for their favourite stores. Anything to do with tech, gaming, fashion, make-up might work, too. But they have discerning tastes. If you’re looking for something you can actually wrap versus slide into an envelope, we have you covered with tech gifts that teens and tweens will love.

Apple AirTag Tracker

Apple AirTag

Let’s be honest: when it comes to younger tweens, this is more a gift for you than for your tween. But it really is a useful one. With an Apple AirTag attached to a set of keys, placed in a backpack, even tucked into a zippered pocket of their jacket, they’ll never lose an item again. And you can keep track of a child’s location if they don’t yet have a smartphone. I used an AirTag in my son’s jacket before he got his first phone, able to see when he left school and started walking home or when he safely arrived at school. Now, he uses it on his house key to ensure it never goes missing. (I use one on my own keys as well). With Precision Finding, you can even follow the location of an item all the way to it, like if your teen left their keys in the spring jacket sitting in their closet and forgot. Plus, with iOS 17, you can now share an AirTag with up to five people, so not only can my son track his keys, but so can I. The AirTag itself is $39 or you can buy a four-pack for $129. You’ll also need a holder, which you can buy from Apple for starting from $25, or find alternative for less on sources like Amazon.

JBL PartyBox Encore

Pop the karaoke tunes onto a USB stick and insert it, then use a mini projector and screen or wall to display the lyrics from a connected computer or other device. It runs for up to 10 hours so will last the entire sleepover, and then some.
