beyerdynamic Debuts New MMX Wireless Gaming Headsets

Beyerdynamic has introduced two new additions to its MMX gaming headset line: the MMX 150 wireless and MMX 230 wireless. Both were revealed at gamescon 2025, currently underway in Cologne.

Both designed and developed in Germany, they are comfort, lightweight, and offer customizable tuning via the beyerdynamic app. The MMX 150 wireless is built for both casual gaming and everyday listening. With up to 50 hours of battery life and a detachable META VOICE (“Most Effective Tactic Available”) microphone, along with the aforementioned customization tuning, it adapts seamlessly for gaming, streaming, or watching TV.

Its 40 mm dynamic driver delivers immersive audio while premium materials and an ergonomic design ensure lasting comfort through marathon sessions. Thanks to fast pairing and plug-and-play compatibility, gamers can jump straight into the action on any console, mobile, or PC, no setup needed.

The detachable META VOICE microphone with sidetone lets you hear yourself in real time, ensuring precise callouts. The boom arm can be positioned for optimal clarity or removed entirely, transforming the headset into standard over-ear headphones. The microphone’s integrated electret condenser covers a 20–20,000 Hz range, with instant mute control for privacy.

Meanwhile, the MMX 230 wireless is the first beyerdynamic gaming headset to feature a replaceable battery, offering up to 60 hours of uninterrupted play. Featuring the latest Bluetooth 6.0 for fast, low-latency connections, it gives players a split-second edge in competitive scenarios, says Beyerdynamic.

The specially tuned 40mm dynamic driver delivers accuracy, letting gamers track enemies, hear every combatant’s footstep, and react before the opponent does. Lightweight construction, replaceable velour ear pads, and breathable materials keep players comfortable during quick matches or all-night sessions. For pro gamers, the MMX 230 wireless integrates seamlessly with professional setups, supporting PCs, consoles, interfaces, and capture cards.

Thanks to environmental noise cancellation (ENC), the high-quality microphone filters out distracting background noise.

Both the MMX 150 and MMX 230 wireless will be available in Black and Arctic White. They also include a detachable microphone, USB-C Low Latency Dongle, USB-A to USB-C adapter, 1.8 m USB-C cable, and 1.8 m USB-C to 3.5 mm jack cable.

The beyerdynamic MMX 150 and MMX 230 wireless will be available exclusively in Europe and Canada via beyerdynamic’s e-shop in Q4 2025. The MMX 150 will sell in Canada for $250 and the MMX 230 for $350.
