The AudioControl Hyperion APR-16 is the company’s new flagship in the line, delivering 16-channel immersive surround sound, and engineered for custom integration professionals.
Designed to accommodate complex home cinema configurations with independent signal-path optimization, AV professionals can precisely design and tune each system to suit any room. It features the latest room correction capabilities, including Dirac ART and HAA Link acoustic optimization software.

It boasts premium 32-bit ESS Sabre DACs, studio-grade pixel-accurate HDMI video, 24-bit/192 kHz sampling rate support, and a comprehensive array of analog outputs with extensive routing capabilities.
It has been engineered for seamless Dirac Live and Dirac Active Room Treatment (ART) integration, leveraging Dirac’s advanced computational algorithms to model and correct complex acoustic artifacts resulting from loudspeaker-listening environment interactions. The system analyzes parameters, including time-domain response, frequency linearity, and spatial reflection patterns to implement precise corrective filters, which AudioControl says delivers “exceptional clarity, tonal balance, and the most deeply immersive listening experience.”
HAA Link, offered through Home Acoustics Alliance, is an optional feature for the APR-16, purchased by the end-user and implemented by trained audio calibrators. The Hyperion APR-16 is the first component to be certified by the Home Acoustics Alliance through the integration of HAA Link software. Integrators can now measure and adjust system performance simultaneously using the companion HAA CinemaTools with HAA Link app, available in the Apple App Store. HAA Link unlocks extensive calibration capabilities used to achieve optimized sonic capability through precision tuning.

The platform features a robust API compatible with any control system. Built-in HDCP and EDID management ensure compatibility between sources and displays. Dante/AES67 integration enables seamless network audio distribution, giving integrators a confident, fully connected deployment.
To accommodate multi-zone entertainment systems, the APR-16 includes a built-in four-port Ethernet switch with Dante/AES67 capability (two in, two out). Hyperion products are professionally designed to adhere to all 22 benchmarks for audio design by CEDIA/CTA-RP22.
An ideal match for the APR-16 processor, Hyperion Series high-performance home theatre amplifiers are available in three models (Tetra, Penta, and Hepta) featuring four, five, and seven channels of output, respectively. Integrators can mix and match models within a consistent platform. Hyperion Series amplifiers leverage AudioControl’s G4 Class H architecture, which intelligently delivers full power with significantly less heat than traditional Class AB designs.
