Shark has launched its new PowerDetect UV Reveal robot vacuum and mop that includes UV technology to detect invisible messes. While we’ve seen UV lights in robot and cordless stick vacuums, it’s rarer to see it with a device that can wet mop as well.
The Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal robot vacuum and mop combines UV light detection with an RGB colour camera to seek out hidden messes. It is engineered to tackle visible debris and detect and clean messes invisible to the human eye, like dried-on spills, juices, sweat, or pet accidents, providing a deeper clean.

Visible light cues indicate when the robot vacuum is seeking a stain, and UV Stain Detect reveals the mess under UV light. Then, HyperSonic Mopping activates a deliberate scrubbing motion for seven times the scrubbing power of traditional mopping and up to two times better stain removal. The robot vacuum then verifies the mess has been removed before moving on to its next task.
UV Reveal combines intelligent sensing and cleaning with eight PowerDetect technologies, optimizing cleaning by sensing edges, floor types, objects, and environmental changes in real-time.

It comes with the ThermaCharged NeverTouch Pro Base, which is bagless and self‑maintaining base with TÜV‑certified sanitization that cleans the mopping pad after every use. There’s also an Anti-Allergen Complete Seal designed to trap allergens inside instead of releasing them back into the air.
NeuroNav AI uses on‑device sensors, cameras, and advanced algorithms to intelligently guide the robot around your home day or night. NeverStuck technology, meanwhile, helps the robot lift over obstacles, allowing it to keep moving and clean your home faster. It also includes the NeverStop Battery that can run for up to three hours to clean your whole home on a single charge. It automatically returns to the base to power up when needed.

The Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal robot vacuum and mop is available starting at US$1,300.
