The Eltax Spinster seamlessly integrates a turntable, phono preamp, and stereo drivers, providing an easy plug-and-play solution that’s engineered to broaden the appeal of vinyl listening to a younger demographic.
The Eltax Spinster distinguishes itself through its straightforward operation in contrast to conventional turntables, which require an amplifier, phono preamp, and stereo speakers in addition to the record player, the Spinster consolidates these components into a single device.
This manually operated turntable is equipped with integrated 2″ stereo drivers powered by 2 x 8 watts and requires only a connection to a power source to function. While the Spinster is designed primarily for individuals new to vinyl, it moves away from simple entry-level classification by incorporating the ever-popular Audio-Technica AT-3600L moving magnet cartridge that is recognised for its warm sound reproduction and ease of replacement.
The inclusion of a Bluetooth 5.3 module allows the Eltax Spinster to transmit audio to Bluetooth-enabled speakers or headphones, and can also receive audio signals from compatible smartphones, tablets, or computers, allowing the player to function as a Bluetooth speaker. An auxiliary RCA input is also provided for additional sources such as CD players.
This dual functionality ensures those exploring the joy of vinyl do not have to sacrifice established digital music collections, since the Eltax Spinster can do both from a single device.
By uniting all essential components of a vinyl system within a singular device, the Eltax Spinster has a marginally larger footprint compared to standard turntables and measures 40.5cm in width and 33.5cm in depth, but contains everything required for record playback.
