Air Canada has been working hard to revamp the Aeroplan program after acquiring the loyalty program with TD, CIBC, and Visa back in 2018. And the latest new feature of the re-launched Aeroplan is the ability to convert Aeroplan points to Starbucks Stars, which can, in turn, be redeemed for Starbucks coffee, food items, and more.
Aeroplan points can be redeemed at a rate of 1,000 points for 200 Starbucks Rewards Stars, up to a maximum of 10,000 Aeroplan points in one transaction. From there, members can easily redeem Stars in-store or in the Starbucks mobile app. Visit for full details.
Points to Stars conversion can be done directly in an Aeroplan member’s account dashboard on web or in the Air Canada mobile app once accounts are linked.
In 2021, Air Canada launched a partnership with Starbucks Canada in which Aeroplan members can link their accounts and earn and redeem points by enjoying Starbucks food and beverages. The partnership allows Canadians to earn Aeroplan points for activities such as loading $50 or more to their Starbucks Rewards app. Members will also continue to earn Starbucks Stars on their purchases through their Starbucks Rewards membership.
To link accounts, go to www.aircanada.com/starbucks and choose the link your Aeroplan and Starbucks Rewards account option. If you aren’t yet a Starbucks Reward member, you can earn a one-time bonus of 400 Aeroplan points when you create a new Starbucks Rewards account. Link it to your Aeroplan account and make your first purchase using the Starbucks app within 30 days of creating the Starbucks Rewards account.
Earn 75 Aeroplan points every time you load or reload $50 to $74.99 to your digital Starbucks Card, and 150 Aeroplan points every time you load or reload $75 or more to your digital Starbucks Card.
