TCL Communications has announced the launch of two new devices, the Alcatel 1B and 1X smartphones, both of which are designed for first-time smartphone, budget-conscious users.
The Alcatel 1B comes loaded with Android 10 (Go edition) along with a 5.5″ 18:9 HD+ display, Google Assistant button, 5MP rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front camera with screen flash.
It has a 3,000mAh battery with battery saver mode and digital wellbeing dashboard that helps users manage screen time.
It is available through Rogers, Bell, and Freedom Mobile for anywhere from $90 up to $110, depending on the carrier.
The Alcatel 1X, meanwhile, has a blue gradient curved back and U-Notch Display with 2.5D glass, dedicated Google Assistant side key, and comes with Facebook and YouTube pre-loaded.
Smart Manager automatically learns from your usage habits to optimize your battery life and app performance.
The 1X also has AI-powered dual rear cameras with AI Scene detection technology.
It is available through Bell and Freedom Mobile for $168-$180, depending on the carrier.
