The Asus Zenbook S 14 AI laptop (UX5406), which is powered by the new Intel Core Ultra processor (Series 2) and was initially announced at IFA in Berlin, is now officially available in Canada.
The ultra-slim 14-inch AI PC is designed using Ceraluminum™and CNC milling to craft its 1.1 cm thin chassis with a distinctive geometric grille design. Ready for AI applications, it comes with a Copilot key, 16:10 seamless touchpad with smart gestures, 3K 120Hz Asus Lumina OLED display, and four-speaker audio system. The <25dB ambient cooling ensures quiet and secure operation, combined with Microsoft Pluton security, face login, and Windows passkeys.
Available in Zumaia Gray and Scandinavian White, the system-on-chip (SoC) design reduces the motherboard size by 27% to increase overall cooling efficiency, and integrates premium low-power LPDDR5X DRAM impact the compact package.
With up to 32GB RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, the processor features a TDP of up to 28 watts and a built-in NPU that delivers up to 47 NPU TOPs for powering AI applications. The 72Wh battery can run all day.
The dedicated Windows Copilot key on the Asus ErgoSense keyboard provides instant Windows AI assistance and an enlarged touchpad matching the screen’s 16:10 aspect ratio. This allows for quick adjustments of audio volume, screen brightness, and more via smart gestures.
There’s a full set of I/O ports, including two Thunderbolt 4, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, and an audio combo jack. WiFi 7 with ASUS WiFi Master Premium certification ensures a fast and reliable connection.
The 3K 120Hz Asus Lumina OLED display is Pantone Validated and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified to deliver “lifelike visuals with outstanding colour,” says Asus, along with HDR performance, including a 100% DCI-P3 gamut to ensure vivid colours.
The four-speaker audio system is Harmon-Kardon certified and provides Dolby Atmos sound from compatible sources.
The Asus ZenBook 14 prioritizes noise reduction with an advanced ultra-slim vapor-chamber cooling system featuring dual IceBlade fans, allowing an under-25dB ambient cooling mode while enabling up to 28W TDP performance, when needed. The geometric grille above the keyboard maximizes airflow and minimizes dust or dirt ingress.
User privacy and security are supported by Windows passkeys and Microsoft Pluton, which integrates hardware, firmware, and software to defend against evolving threats. Windows Hello facial recognition ensures secure access without needing to remember passwords. The Asus AiSense IR camera, meanwhile, enables Adaptive Lock, which monitors your presence and locks the laptop when you move away. Adaptive Dimming enhances privacy by dimming the screen when you look away as well.
