Australian technology company, Blustream, a specialist is delivering HDMI distribution products has announced the SM11ARC, a compact HDMI signal management tool designed to resolve HDCP conflicts and other common challenges in sophisticated installation projects.

The NEW SM11ARC adds support for HDMI ARC, allowing audio to be extracted and managed alongside full HDMI signal control, ideal for installations requiring both signal stability and TV audio return.

“The SM11ARC HDMI 2.0 Signal Manager is engineered to resolve common HDMI distribution issues” stated Edit Cantor, National Sales Manager for Evolution Home Corp. the exclusive Canadian distributor for Bluestream. “Common distribution challenges” adds Cantor, “can include compatibility conflicts, HDCP 2.3, handshaking, clock stretching, and general EDID problems, especially when working with 4K content. The new SM11ARC HDMI 2.0 resolve these challenges that can cost installers time and money when lengthy trouble shooting needs to be done”.

Fully compliant with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.3 standards, the SM11ARC supports video resolutions up to 4K @ 60Hz 4:4:4, including formats with HDR. Building on the functionality of its predecessor (the SM11), the SM11ARC adds advanced audio features including audio embedding onto the HDMI output, replacing the original HDMI audio where required. Audio can also be de-embedded from the HDMI signal via optical S/PDIF or a 3.5mm analogue output. Additionally, it supports audio extraction (up to 5.1 channels) from a HDMI ARC-capable display connected to the HDMI output, via the S/PDIF port.
The new SM11ARC HDMI 2.0 replaces the existing SM11 and is exclusively available through Evolution Home Corp.
