Innovating in the robotic vacuum space isn’t easy with so many brands offering variations of the same features. Eureka has found an interesting way to innovate, however, with the J15 Max Ultra, a robot vacuum with transparent liquid stain detection technology, which is on display at CES 2025, taking place this week in Las Vegas.
How does this work? The robot vacuum can detect transparent wet messes and adapt its clean accordingly. Additionally, it features an anti-tangle, extendable side brush and mop for accessing tight corners, enhanced obstacle-crossing capabilities to glide smoothly over thresholds, and a powerful 22,000 Pa suction system.

Like the Eureka J15 Pro Ultra, this model has a self-cleaning base station and FlexiRazor technology to cut through tangles and minimize maintenance. Pet owners also love the pet-friendly design with the ability to avoid pet waste and allow remote video interaction with pets (with user permission). The J15 Max Ultra also includes IntelliView AI 2.0 which helps with precision cleaning of wet messes.
Both the J15 Pro Ultra and J15 Max Ultra encounter a wet mess and commands the robot to automatically rotate its body, prioritize mop cleaning, and lift the roller brush to prevent liquid from entering the dustbin. With the addition of IntelliView AI 2.0, however, that ensures transparent liquids aren’t missed due to ambient light on the robot’s vision sensors.

This advanced system includes an infrared vision system and FHD vision sensor. This combination allows the vacuum to generate two types of views in real-time: high-definition images of the objects and their surface structures that are largely unaffected by ambient light or lighting variations. These images are processed by AI algorithms trained to identify subtle differences in surface reflections and texture, enabling the robot to detect liquids clearly, even transparent ones.
Further differentiating this model is the advanced dual extension system, which combines the ScrubExtend mop technology from the J15 Pro Ultra with the new SweepExtend. Together, these innovations enable the mop and side brush to automatically extend when detecting corners and edges, ensuring thorough cleaning coverage, even in hard-to-reach spaces.

There’s also the DragonClaw Side Brush that employs a V-shaped design with sharp angles. This design leverages centrifugal force during rotation to actively untangle hair, and ensure easy maintenance.
Delivering an impressive 22,000 Pa of suction power, a 35% increase over its predecessor, there’s also advanced ObstaCross Technology: the robot navigates standard thresholds up to 1.18 inches and handles complex double-layer thresholds up to 1.57 inches so it can seamlessly transition across diverse floor types and obstacles.

The Eureka J15 Max Ultra is expected to be available globally in June 2025, with the first wave of sales launching in the U.S., Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. The Eureka J15 Max will be available in March 2025 for US$799.
