Chief Announces Accessories for Tempo Flat Panel Wall Mount System

Chief, a Legrand | AV brand, has announced new mounting solutions for its Tempo Flat Panel Wall Mount System.

The all-in-one, easy-to-configure wall mounting system now includes new accessories to further support the flat panel solution. These include the Camera Shelf, 650mm Interface Extenders, Crestron UC Bracket Accessory, and Video-Sound Bar Mount.

“When we introduced the Tempo Flat Panel Wall Mount System, integrators were excited to see a solution catering to fast, scalable enterprise deployments and AVaaS,” says Ann Ewoldt, Product Marketing Manager, Chief, Legrand | AV. “One of the biggest requests was accessories that would further Tempo’s flexibility. These accessories were born from that feedback and leverage Legrand | AV’s years of expertise creating device mounting solutions that rethink the AV business model, which builds upon Tempo’s ingenuity for proper device mounting and storage.”

The Chief Tempo Wall Mount System is offered with an optional Middle Atlantic PD-715SC-NS slim-profile, seven-outlet, 15A power strip. Two 15-inch by 10-inch Lever Lock storage plates are included, which can be preloaded with up to six small devices plus cabling, ready to ship to the job site. Panels can be added and easily moved along the mounting rail to store more devices. As a result, integrators can minimize last-minute shipping costs of missing parts, says Chief.

Like other Chief mounts, the Tempo Wall Mount System features up to 1-inch post-install leveling adjustments and 10 degrees of display tilt in 2.5-degree increments for viewing flexibility. The total installation depth facilitates ADA compliance with 49-inch to 86-inch displays with less than 2 inches in depth and a 970 mm by 450 mm mounting pattern. The mount pulls away from the wall for approximately 13 inches of service depth, allowing ample access to cables and AV equipment for simple, fast maintenance checks. It can be installed on any wall, including steel studs, wood studs, concrete, and block wall substrates.

First among the new accessories is the Camera Shelf, which is 6 inches long and has a 3.28-inch depth adjustment slot to facilitate placement of a camera using a ¼”-20 screw. It fits most cameras with a ¼”-20 tripod mounting hole and has a weight capacity of 15 pounds. For quick and easy installation, the camera shelf glides and locks into place on the top or bottom rail of the Tempo Flat Panel Wall Mount System using strut channel nuts with captive screws. Lateral shift allows installers to position the camera shelf anywhere along the wall plate mounting rail. Toolless height-adjust knobs allow 6.27 inches of travel to easily position the camera shelf at the right height above or below the display. Window opening and slots along both sides of the vertical bracket facilitate cable management. It also includes mounting brackets for Vaddio IntelliSHOT and ConferenceSHOT ePTZ cameras.

For larger displays, the 650 mm Interface Extenders increase the height of the mounting hole pattern from 450 mm to 650 mm on the Tempo Flat Panel Wall Mount System. The FHB5174 mounting bracket interface extenders install quickly and easily. They simple screw on to the existing interfaces of the Tempo system.

The toolless Crestron UC Bracket Accessory completes AV system installations and simplifies mass deployment project installations without drilling more holes in the wall. It is designed to mount any Crestron UC Bracket Assembly quickly and easily onto Tempo Flat Panel Wall Mount System deployments. Installers simply hang it from the top rail of the Tempo Flat Panel Wall Mount System and use the lateral shift to position wherever it’s needed. Creston Flex Integrator Kits sold separately.

The installer-inspired video-sound bar mount for Tempo fits most video-sound bars that have mounting holes in the back or bottom. It has a weight capacity of 20 pounds with soundbars mounted to the interface bracket or up to 15 pounds when using “L” brackets. The mount is 22.25 inches wide by 2.88 inches tall.

The ample 21.41-inch-wide slot allows installers to secure most soundbars that have rear mounting holes. It glides and locks into place on the top or bottom rail of the Tempo Flat Panel Wall Mount System using strut channel nuts with captive screws. Lateral shift allows it to be located anywhere along the wall plate mounting rail. Toolless height-adjust knobs allow 6.27 inches of travel to position it at the right height above or below the display and can be installed between 9.75 inches to 28.15 inches from Tempo’s center line. Window opening and slots along both sides of the vertical bracket facilitate cable management.
