Cuktech 15 Air Power Bank Review: A Powerhouse Portable Charger

Pros

  • Large battery capacity, charges quickly
  • Informative digital display
  • Charge multiple devices at once
  • Can charge a laptop

Cons

  • No built-in cables
  • No wireless charging
  • Fairly heavy
  • On the more expensive side

My hunt for the perfect portable power bank continues. My top preference is something with a large capacity (at least 10,000mAh), fast charging, built-in cables, MagSafe/Qi2 compatibility for wireless charging, multiple ports including both USB-C and USB-A, and pass-through charging. A nice-to-have but not essential feature is built-in foldable AC prongs. It’s a lot of demands, and finding all these features in a power bank that’s small and lightweight is more challenging than you think. The Cuktech 15 Air power bank came my way, and it meets most, though not all, of these criteria. So, I gave it a-go to see if the concessions were ones I could live with.

About the Cuktech 15 Air Power Bank

Cuktech 15 Air with iPhone

The Cuktech 15 Air exceeds my needs in terms of capacity with a 15,000mAh battery and up to 65W fast charging (with compatible devices and cables) while leveraging GaN efficiency. Its large capacity and high output means you can use it to charge not only smartphones, tablets, headphones, and other mobile devices, but also laptops. You’re able to charge up to three devices at once with intelligent power distribution that delivers up to 100W total output. When paired with a 100W PD charger, Cuktech says the power bank can recharge quickly, delivering approximately 23% battery in around 10 minutes.

A TFT display provides battery status as well as input and output power and estimated recharge time. Integrated thermal management helps maintain stable temperatures during use, protecting both the power bank and connected devices throughout the day.

The Cuktech 15 Air is CCC safety certified and airline compliant, remaining under the 100Wh limit for U.S. carry-on luggage. It is available now for US$80.

The first thing I noticed when taking the Cuktech 15 Air power bank out of the box is that it isn’t very lightweight. About the size of a cassette tape (for those who remember or know what those are!), it only weighs half a pound. But for a device you want to keep in your pocket or purse, it feels hefty. That said, it’s in line with other power banks I own, so I’m okay with the trade-off of a heavier power bank for more power and better performance. It’s nice that it comes with a small USB-C-to-USB-C cable as well.

Tap the button at the top, right side – the only button on the unit – to wake up the screen and see charging status and other details. At the top are two USB-C ports and a USB-A port, which satisfies my desire for multiple ports. Unfortunately, however, there are no built-in cables. One big omission is that it’s not wireless charging capable. In fact, it’s too large to fit on the back of any standard-sized phone anyway. This power bank focuses exclusively on high-powered wired charging.

Cuktech 15 Air back

The back is a nice textured material that makes it comfortable to hold. The front is nicely designed with a matte-like silver finish on the bottom three quarters, the amply sized black digital screen occupying the top quarter. Don’t forget to remove the plastic protective film over the screen to get a clear view. Along with the small cable, it also comes with a convenient carry pouch. This is useful for popping it into your bag or backpack to prevent scratches on the screen.

I was curious to see first how quickly and efficiently this power bank could recharge my iPhone 17 Pro. I also tried charging various other phones, including the new Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, via USB-C cable. Finally, I tested charging my 14-inch 2021 MacBook Pro. I love that it can identify the manufacturer of each device you plug in, quickly displaying “Apple” or “Samsung,” for example.

It gets warm while charging but never hot. I was able to charge two phones (iPhone 17 Pro and OnePlus 15) individually to up to 100% from about 20% each on a single charge before the battery depleted. Plugging in a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra at 65% battery life, the power bank advised that the phone would be fully charged within 30 minutes.

With my laptop, it took about 40 minutes to go from 66% up to 96% charged, and I did notice the charger got a lot warmer than it did when recharging my phone. But it still wasn’t blazing hot such that it felt like it was overheating.

I like that you can push the button repeatedly to cycle the screen to show percent left and for how long it can charge, real-time and voltage output for each port, function setting adjustment for in/out, in, or out, and to choose to keep the screen on at all times or press the button to wake.

Should You Buy the Cuktech 15 Air Power Bank?

The Cuktech 15 Air power bank is a good option if you want a high-capacity power bank that can charge everything from your phone to your laptop yet isn’t one of those massive portable laptop chargers. It has just enough power to top up your laptop yet isn’t much bigger nor heavier than a standard 10,000mAh portable power bank. It’s perfect for your carry-on, briefcase, or backpack, but this isn’t the charger you want to toss in your fanny pack or purse for a night out.

It charges relatively quickly though you need to bring along the necessary cables. The absence of wireless charging is a drag, but it isn’t a dealbreaker. Keep in mind, however, that this means in having to connect a cable, as with any wired portable power bank, using your phone while it’s charging is uncomfortable unless it’s on a flat surface. I’d recommend also getting a smaller, wirelessly enabled power bank you can use when you want to travel light and be able to comfortably use the phone on the go while it’s charging.

If you’re looking for something that meets all my initially stated requirements, I did find this non-branded charger from Amazon, which I used during CES 2026 and it works wonderfully. It meets every one of my criteria, but like the Cuktech power bank, it’s bulkier and heavier than I’d like. Nonetheless, I’m happy to carry it around when I know I need maximum extra power on the go with varied charging options. The Cuktech 15 Air offers even more power than this one in a smaller package with output to support a laptop. Those concessions might be worth it for some.
