D&H Canada Sees Double-Digit Growth in Fiscal Year 2024

Technology solutions distribution D&H Canada says it has experienced double-digit sales growth in North America this past calendar year, as well as for the fiscal year-to-date.

The company’s expansion in the commercial IT sector has outpaced that of the general market, especially in regions such as Western Canada, D&H continues to invest in high-growth technologies, says the company.

These investments have expanded D&H’s overall transacting customer base, focusing on areas like modern solutions and the SMB market, and among emerging MSPs. D&H notes that growth has persisted even in the face of an indeterminate economy and sluggish or flat growth for many high-tech companies.

Above-market gains in Ontario and Quebec are also attributable to investments such as the new, larger-capacity Mississauga headquarters launched in 2023, and the expanded Vancouver distribution centre launched in 2022. The distributor’s investments in its team and the channel will continue this trajectory, says D&H.

For the rest of 2024, D&H Canada predicts continued sales growth and channel investment for the calendar year. This includes notable opportunities due to the ongoing need for cybersecurity to combat AI-powered threats, the forthcoming Windows 10 End of Service deadline, the growth of transformative Modern Solutions in the marketplace, and other factors.

“D&H Canada looks forward to another robust year, living up to our ‘Built For Growth’ mantra,” says Michelle Biase, General Manager at D&H Canada.”We continue to outpace the market, even in an overall high-tech economy that isn’t seeing the same level of growth. Our solution provider partners have experienced sales increases in personal PCs, collaboration, digital signage, and other crucial areas where we are seeing success due to strategic initiatives.

“We’ll continue to follow the same pattern of investment and service to the channel in 2024,” she continues, “as evidenced by the new Mississauga headquarters and Configuration Centre launched this past year.”

As noted, D&H Canada has seen strong gains in key focus areas including modern solutions, cloud, and digital signage/collaboration, and these categories will continue to be a priority in 2024. The new Mississauga facility was a major investment in 2023 and will meet ongoing customer needs for the future. Many of D&H’s partners are already leveraging the facility to expand their capabilities and increase business. Since the launch of the new Configuration Centre on September 21, 2023, the company has serviced several thousand units through this centre.

D&H says that SMB and mid-market customers will increasingly turn to MSPs and MSSPs to help them secure and protect their IT environments. Channel partners need to invest in managed security to achieve this on a multi-tenant scale, advises D&H. The company’s managed security services will support MSPs by working with vendors to add more MSSP licensing models, allowing partners to pay monthly for hardware/software-based solutions; leveraging the D&H cloud marketplace to operationalize MSSP solutions; and use the XaaS (Everything-as-a-Service) program to bundle products and services into a single monthly payment model that delivers cashflow acceleration.

In calendar year 2023, D&H Canada brought on a local team of tenured and talented resources to support its data centre and personal systems business, including a sales specialist, solution architects, and business development managers. These individuals have continued to help its partners grow and support their business.

D&H Canada will help VARs and MSPs understand how different vendors are using AI and how it fits into their individual clients’ business models, including through different verticals. For instance, Microsoft’s Copilot product is leveraging AI to help users more easily create and refine content. Newer solutions such as these will be addressed at the 2024 THREAD Technology Conferences.

D&H is preparing for an impending Microsoft Windows 10 End of Service refresh opportunity, building additional education, services, and support resources around helping MSPs migrate their customers to Windows 11 environments. The distributor will enhance its THREAD Technology Conferences and training opportunities, incorporating additional SuccessPath training content over the course of 2024.

The distributor has also invested in new marketing and analytic tools for 2024, leveraging data science to help measure the success of its strategies in real time and identify new areas of opportunity.

D&H’s Canadian headquarters are located in Mississauga, ON and its U.S. headquarters are in Harrisburg, PA. Additional warehouses are located in Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Fresno, CA; and Vancouver, BC.
