Erikson Multimedia, an Exertis | JAM business, has announced a partnership with Austere, a technology accessories company that focuses on both function and design. Under the agreement, Erikson Multimedia will be the exclusive distributor in Canada for all Austere products including home theatre cables, power surge protection, and Clean & Protect.
We spoke to Austere founder and CEO Deena Ghazarian three years ago when the brand officially launched in 2019, where she discussed the hole she saw in the market for home theatre accessories that both perform well, are durable and well-made, and look attractive in the living room, home office, or wherever they are used.
Even the packaging, for example, is designed to stand out on a retail store floor. The products include small but noticeable design features that make a difference, such as extra spacing between ports on the V Series Power and Protect power bars and woven material on the cables. WiFi HiFi’s David Susilo reviewed the Austere HDMI cable when it first launched and found that it night not passed all his objective, measurable bandwidth checks, but compared opening the package to opening a premium product like an Apple Watch. “I highly recommend these,” he wrote. Susilo also named the Austere VII on-wall surge protector and power conditioner as one of his best purchases in 2022.
