Focal Naim America Makes Two Key Leadership Appointments

Focal Naim America has announced the appointments of Yassine Zaim as Managing Director, and Scott G. Ashbaugh as USA Regional Sales Director. 

In his new role, Zaim will oversee the development of Focal Naim America and Focal Naim Canada, focusing on strengthening strategic partnerships, aligning regional operations, and accelerating sustainable growth across the Americas.

Zaim brings more than a decade of international experience across the hi-fi and professional audio industries, combining strong commercial leadership with a deep understanding of audio technologies, premium brand positioning, and global market dynamics.

“With an academic background and international experience spanning Brazil and the U.S. alongside formal studies in music, Zaim has developed a distinctive profile at the intersection of artistic sensibility, technical expertise, and business strategy,” says the company. 

Throughout his career, Zaim has led multicultural teams, managed complex multi-territory operations, and supported the international expansion of premium audio brands across both consumer and professional markets.

Ashbaugh joins Focal Naim America as USA Regional Sales Director, bringing more than 30 years of experience driving growth within the global consumer electronics industry. His data-driven approach, operational rigor, and entrepreneurial vision will play a key role in strengthening Focal and Naim’s U.S. dealer network and supporting continued market expansion, the company notes.

 A dynamic sales executive, Ashbaugh is known for his expertise in sales leadership, channel strategy, and business development, as well as his ability to build and scale high-performing teams. 

Over the course of his career, Ashbaugh has successfully expanded brands into new markets, delivered consistent multimillion-dollar revenue growth, and forged long-standing strategic partnerships.  

Born from the merger of French-based Focal and British Naim Audio, VerVent Audio Group’s brand subsidiaries signal a new investment phase and direction for VerVent in the U.S. and Canada.
