Every Friday, I’ll be highlighting a few new (or relatively new) tech products you should buy. From portable Bluetooth speakers to headphones and earbuds, TVs to content capture devices, phones, appliances, and more, these will all be devices that I have either already reviewed, are in the middle of reviewing and already enjoy, or plan to review in the near future.
Sonos Play Portable Bluetooth Speaker

The Sonos Play is the brand’s latest portable speaker that is designed for both indoors and outdoor use with an IP67 rating, which is higher than the Sonos Move and Sonos Move 2. It’s smaller, too, but packs a punch with sound. You can pair two for stereo sound (or multiple ones for an immersive experience) both indoors and outside, the latter using Bluetooth. In my tests, including playing audio from just one as well as two as a stereo pair in various settings, it has impressive bass and decent sound. The weakest spot is the app, which isn’t as intuitive as I’d like. But if you own and use other Sonos speakers, you’re familiar with how it works. Use one (or more) as desktop speakers, for backyard tunes, or to take with you. With up to 24 hours per charge, it will last for a full day at the park or a backyard barbecue.

Panasonic Technics EAH-AZ100 Wireless Earbuds

I review dozens of headphones and wireless earbuds every year, so I have plenty of experience and a drawer full of options to compare and contrast. But still to this day, I have yet to find a pair of wireless earbud I like better than these ones. From the fit to the incredible audio quality, effective noise cancellation, and the option to connect to three devices at a time with seamless and intelligent switching among them, they’re a winner in my books. Asus ZenBook Duo (2026) Dual-Screen Laptop

Yes, this is an expensive laptop. But it’s almost like two laptops in one. You get a dual-screen design you can use, or not. Use it as a traditional laptop, connect the second screen for a space-saving dual screen set-up, or remove the keyboard and use a virtual one. It’s versatile and perfect for multi-taskers or students studying in demanding and/or creative disciplines. It’s intuitive, the keyboard is incredible smooth and responsive, and you get a fully charged AI experience. Read my review.

JBL Endurance Zone Open-Ear Buds

If you don’t like in-ears and don’t want to wear over-ears while running, walking, or working out at the gym, check out these open-ear buds. They are comfortable, stay in place, and don’t plug your ears. You get great battery life and decent sound. There’s no noise cancellation and gesture controls can be finicky. But they’re durable, flexible, and comfortable. You’re not going to get a hifi audio experience, but for a rocking playlists or podcast episode for your runs or tunes to hype you up at the gym, they’re perfect. Read my review.

Cuktech 15 Air Power Bank

If you want something to take with you on the go to recharge all your gadgets, this charger might be on the more expensive side, but it fits the bill. With a whopping 15,000mAh of power and support for up to 65W fast charging with compatible devices, you could even recharge your laptop. It can charge up to three devices at a time with up to 100W total output and has two USB-C and one USB-A port; plus it comes with a small cable (though you probably have lots of extras lying around at home). It’s not the lightest option nor smallest option on the market, but it boasts tons of power and provides lots of information on the front screen. It’s a great option for frequent travelers.
