On the heels of the launch of new Microsoft Surface computers, Kensington has introduced two new accessories purpose-built for the Microsoft Surface Pro, 12-inch: the BlackBelt EQ Rugged Case and MagPro Elite Magnetic Privacy Screen.
The BlackBelt EQ Rugged Case was built in collaboration with Microsoft and is designed exclusively for Surface Pro 1st Edition 12”. It features a slimline, non-slip textured design with access to all ports, heat dissipation channels, a self-adjusting hand strap that allows the device to lie flat. A stretch band secures and protects the Surface Pro 12” keyboard. You retain full access to the Surface Pro 1st Edition 12” kickstand and also get cable lock and privacy screen compatibility.
The case construction is made up of 40% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic with military-grade protection for those who work in harsh work environments, meeting military standards for drop testing (MIL-STD-810H Method 516.8 Shock) and wipe down (MIL-STD-810H Method 504.3 Contamination by Fluids). This, it should be noted, excludes the silicone hand strap, pen holder, and keyboard holder.
For those who work in public places or shared office spaces, the MagPro Elite Magnetic Privacy Screen helps deter theft through visual hacking. Developed in close collaboration with Microsoft, the privacy screen attaches seamlessly to the Surface Pro’s magnetic frame without the use of damaging adhesives. It limits the viewing angle of the device to +/- 30 degrees to protect privacy and reduce the opportunity of data loss through visual hacking. The MagPro Elite is Touch and Surface Pen compatible and features blue light reduction to filter out up to 30% of harmful rays, helping ease eye strain. A low reflective coating reduces glare for improved clarity.
Additionally, the Kensington Elevated Stand for Surface works with the new Microsoft Surface Pro, 12” as well as other models in the Surface line. The all-in-one riser elevates the laptop to eye level to minimize strain on your neck, back, and shoulders. It also tilts to provide an optimal viewing angle to ease eye strain. Ideal for use with external keyboards, the lightweight aluminum Elevated Stand features a compact design that folds flat for portability.
