Klipsch Announces Strategic Partnership with Resonado Labs

Klipsch and Resonado Labs have announced a strategic partnership to develop a new line of Klipsch home audio speakers that integrate Resonado technology. Together, the companies aim to define the next era of audio, by creating a line of products engineered to deliver the highest output possible in sleek and compact form factors.

Resonado Labs is a Chicago-based audio technology company that was founded in 2017, dedicated to designing and engineering high-performance speaker technologies that uses propriety technology to allow the physical size of audio speakers to decrease without compromising sound performance.

The world of audio has changed dramatically in the past two decades – with the advent of new technologies, the diversity of audio products and the prevalence of audio in the average person’s daily life has exploded. By 2026, sound bars alone are projected to top $12B in annual sales globally. Consumer demand has shifted to audio products that take up less space and provide a full acoustic range in a single package.

Resonado’s flagship technology, Res-Core, was designed to address this industry shift. A novel take on the conventional loudspeaker with a proprietary motor, Res-Core was engineered to deliver high-performance audio in compact form factors.

“Resonado takes a radical approach to innovation. Our design-driven methods led us to challenge the assumption of how high excursion speaker drivers could and should be designed. Identifying an opportunity to deliver full-frequency sound in small form factor speakers led to the development and patenting of our core technology. Paul W. Klipsch, in his approach to overcoming the limitations of the existing technology in 1946 by developing his legendary horn load speaker, inspired me to reimagine how a speaker driver could be designed to introduce the next generation to better sound,” says Resonado Labs President Chuck Lukezic.

“I am inspired by the incredibly talented group of entrepreneurs, engineers, and designers at Resonado Labs,” said Paul Jacobs, President & CEO of Premium Audio Company. “By incorporating their cutting-edge transducer technologies, we will deliver a state-of-the-art, design-centric collection of products unlike anything Premium Audio Company has previously done.”

By incorporating Resonado technology, Klipsch has the potential to develop speakers more compact than we have seen in a generation.  No launch date on the first collaboration has been announced.
