A month after Telus announced its Stream+ bundle, which combines three streaming services for a discounted rate you can add to your existing Telus bill, Koodo, which is owned by Telus, is offering the same access with its new Happy Stack plans.
Starting at $99/mo., Happy Stack bundles mobility and home Internet with subscriptions to Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video in one package. New and existing Koodo customers in Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec can stack all three services, with monthly savings of up to 23%.
After a successful pilot program in the Fall of 2023, Koodo Internet is now available to more than seven-million homes across Ontario, Quebec, and Manitoba, with no throttling or data overage charges.
Included in the Happy Stack bundle is a Pick Your Perk mobility rate plan, unlimited high-speed home internet, and Stream+, including Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video. In all three cases, you’ll be getting the most affordable tiers, which includes ads. Prime Video, however, comes standard with Amazon Prime in Canada, which means you’ll also get access to fast and free delivery on item purchases along with all the other perks of an Amazon Prime subscription. This includes access to services like Amazon Music Prime, Prime Gaming, Prime Reading, Amazon Photos, and more. An Amazon Prime subscription on its own is $99/yr. or $10/mo.
The mobility plans offer up to 5G speeds and perks like unlimited data, premium voicemail, unlimited international SMS, rollover data, an unlimited long distance pack, or 5G speed boast, while the home Internet offers download speeds up to 1Gbps, where available.
Stream+ is also available as a standalone add-on to an existing plan, starting at $20/mo., which represents a 17% savings. Koodo customers who already have a subscription to one or more of the three streaming services can link their existing accounts to the Stream+ bundle with no change to their preferences, viewing history or profiles.
Stream+ also provides customers with access to Canadian content from Telus originals, Telus Presents and Telus Storyhive. Koodo home internet and mobility customers nationwide also get access to ICI TOU.TV EXTRA content on us (valued at $7/mo) for watching content from Radio-Canada and its partners, exclusively through the ICI TOU.TV app or website.
