One of the most talked about new laptops at CES 2023, if not the most talked about, was the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i, a dual OLED screen laptop that consists of just the two screens connected together with a hinge. But it also comes with a Bluetooth keyboard, stylus, and stand to use it in whatever mode you like, from traditional laptop to tented or folded over as a flat tablet.
Running on the Intel Evo platform, you can view an image across both screens or view (and work on) two different sources at once with each. For example, you might want to watch a video on one screen while taking notes or surfing the web on the other. Or watch a TV show while researching the cast and background facts on the other.
From a productivity perspective, you can do things like, while in a virtual presentation, display it on one screen while controlling it from the other. One screen could also be used for viewing the live chat during a presentation, so the presenter can immediately respond to questions and advance screens as needed. Or for students, watch an online lecture while taking notes.
Using the folio stand, Bluetooth keyboard, and stylus, allows for additional productivity, both in the office and on the go. It runs on software designed by Lenovo in collaboration with Microsoft. This includes a version of Windows 11 with smart writing and reading features, note-taking, and more.
Both screens are 13.3 inches in size, and 2.8K OLED PureSight displays that offer 100% colour accuracy along with Dolby Vision HDR. This is combined with Dolby Atmos spatial audio and a 360° rotating soundbar featuring Bowers & Wilkins speakers.
Finished in Tidal Teal, it will ship in eco-conscious packaging with the cushion materials, gift box, and outer box all containing 100% recycled paper. The starting price will be US$2,100 and it will be available starting in June 2023: stay tuned for Canadian availability and pricing details.
