Marantz has introduced two new products: the CD 50n networked CD player and the Model 50 integrated amplifier.
The Marantz CD 50n is a CD player as well as a high-resolution networked audio playback source, offering support for both legacy and new media types for those who are still holding onto their old CD collections. It features a 32-bit ESS Sabre DAC plus custom-designed Marantz Musical Digital Filters. With the inclusion of multiple digital inputs and network access via Ethernet and Wi-Fi, it also support high resolution music files sent directly via digital audio connections or streamed over a home network using the built-in HEOS music streaming platform.
Music streaming from mobile devices is also available via Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, and AirPlay2, while home entertainment enthusiasts can even connect their TV audio into the CD 50n via HDMI ARC.
Additional features include custom Marantz musical digital filters for clear and detailed sound; high-resolution support via USB up to PCM 384 kHz/32 bit and DSD 256 (input dependent); HDMI ARC for enhanced TV audio to enjoy TV shows, movies, and games; digital pre-amp for flexible volume control; access to streaming services such as Spotify, AirPlay 2, Tidal, and more, with HEOS built-in; and the Marantz five-year warranty.
Beautifully pairing with the CD 50n, says Marantz, is the Model 50 integrated amp that offers 70w per channel of high-current Class A/B power. It employs a High Current Output architecture based on parallel push/pull pairs of output devices, coupled with a toroidal power supply and carefully laid out internal signal path topography designed to minimise internal impedance losses.
The pure analog configuration includes a high-quality MM Phono stage, which also ensures great results when partnered with vinyl sources for those who prefer that media as well. It also comes with a five-year Marantz warranty.
Both models feature crystal-clear fascia displays, including the Marantz porthole display on the Model 50 amplifier, while the remote control supplied with each component is able to operate its sibling just as well should you pick up both and want to use them together.
