The Panasonic Technics EAH-AZ100 earbuds were introduced earlier this year at CES 2025 and received a WiFi HiFi Editor’s Choice award following my review of the premium buds. Now, the premium pair of noise cancelling true wireless earbuds are available in a new Champagne Gold finish alongside the silver and black options.
The Champagne Gold buds are identical to the other finishes in every way but for the lighter, trendy colour that will appeal to fashion-forward individuals. Those who wear jewelry like gold hoops will love how the Champagne Gold finish complements that for a seamless look.
Key features of these buds include a magnetic fluid driver that creates clean, high-resolution, low-vibration, and low-distortion sounds for authentic and balanced audio; Voice Focus AI combining an AI noise reduction chip and three microphones in each earbud; Adaptive Noise Cancelling that works with the surrounding environment, background noise levels, and the individual shape of the ear; and three-multipoint connectivity for hooking up to laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
In my review, which involved listening at home, while out for walks, in a local coffee shop, and even on several planes while traveling, I found these buds to be the most impressive I have tested in the past several years. Not only do they look stunning (presumably even more so in Champagne Gold), they sound fantastic and the noise cancellation is impressive for buds, even while traveling. “These buds,” I noted in the review, “really showcase Technics’ audio prowess and 60-year dedication to improving audio quality through all its products.
“You’ll find buds for less that sound wonderful, but they don’t have the same depth and presence, helping you melt right into your music.”
