Panasonic is marking its return to the Canadian market with a new line of TVs offered through authorized business partner Skyworth USA. This includes the Z85C OLED TV and the W90C QD-Mini LED series.
Available in 55- and 65-inch sizes, both series leverage Panasonic’s long-time expertise in the video space, boasting features designed for movies, sports, streaming, and gaming. The OLED line focuses on precise blacks and rich and cinematic contrast while the QD-Mini LED TVs offer high brightness and advanced local dimming alongside Glare Free Max technology that helps reduce reflections in brighter rooms. Platform assignments and final model-level features remain subject to confirmation.
The Z85C Google TV boasts an OLED panel that produces self-lit contrast and deep blacks. The AI 4K Color Engine Ultra analyzes content to restore colour, optimize motion, and improve contrast, says Panasonic. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos are both supported, alongside HDR10+ and HLG, as well as Surround Sound Pro for audio.
For games and fast-moving sports, the Z85C offers Game Mode Extreme with refresh rates up to 120Hz, HDMI 2.1 connectivity, VRR, low-latency operation, and AMD FreeSync Premium technology.
The W90C Google TV has a Mini-LED backlight and advanced local dimming that Panasonic says delivers “deeper blacks, brighter highlights, and more dimensional contrast than conventional edge-lit displays.” Quantum-dot colour helps produce vivid, natural-looking images, the company adds. Glare Free Max technology is designed to reduce distracting reflections and help maintain picture clarity and contrast in rooms with ambient light.
The QD-Mini LED TV supports 120Hz OverClock, HDMI 2.1, VRR, and ALLM for smooth and responsive gameplay. Eye care features include Flicker Free, Low Blue Light, and True Color Aid to help improve viewing comfort while maintaining colour accuracy. Dolby Atmos is supported alongside Surround Sound and Clear Audio+.
Panasonic-branded TVs in Canada are brought to market through a strategic partnership between Panasonic and Shenzhen Skyworth Display Technology Co., Ltd. and its group companies.
