Cineplex will be opening a new Playdium location in Toronto, adjacent to CF Fairview Mall. Construction will begin next month and the location is scheduled to open in late 2024.
The location will not be inside Fairview model, but it will be situated next to the entrance to the Cineplex Cinemas Fairview Mall, which is inside the shopping centre. The tech-centric entertainment complex features both classic and modern interactive arcade games along with other experiences, like high-tech mini golf and bowling. There’s also food and drinks for a casual dining experience.
The new location will measure about 20,000 square feet in size, with games and attractions appealing to all age and skill levels. Food will include chef-inspired burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, nachos, tacos, and a selection of sweet treats. Designed to accommodate large groups, Playdium is positioned for events like parties and team building, with private rooms for birthday parties and special gatherings.
Cineplex first announced the expansion of the Playdium concept in 2017, with locations now open in Whitby and Brampton, Ontario, and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Playdium complexes are part of Cineplex’s Location Based Entertainment venues, including The Rec Room with over 10 locations across the country.
